I ordered some stuff from Victorias Secret and had to pay about £23 (forget the amount I spent but maybe $160??)

My friend ordered over $250 of items from Victorias Secret and she had to pay £18...

I have NO IDEA how they work it out :nonono: :pgig:

jane,, depends on courier, I.ve recently had something from WDW, came with UPS, i paid the driver, they normally have the payment slip with them, the cost is always on the slip, you should get a copy of the payment slip. my goods cost $90, cost me just under £20 for customs.

If the goods are itemised pricewise on the customs declaration you are allowed to recieve £18 before paying taxes.

If marked as a gift i think it,s £36 before taxes are added.

You may get a charge, you may not depending on what courier is used.If they are delivered by parcelforce you always recieve an additional charge of £8,thats a handling charge they add.Thats on top of any customs charges.

I,ve always found items delivered by royal mail dont incur charges but maybe i,ve been lucky with them.Parcelforce i,ve always had to pay.

HI, i received goods from Las vegas and had to pay an extra £28.00 in total. £13.50 of this was Parcel Force charge for handling the package, the Item was £100 in total.

However I did not receive any extra charges for a large package sent from america!! this was bought via the shops own website.

I too do not know how this works. :confused2

I ordered a lot of stuff for Christmas off Us sites and some NYDJeans for myself and some for a friend off US Ebay.
I paid varying amounts from 0 to £30!
I bought perfume for £43 from Fragrance.net for my O/H mum and had it sent gift wrapped she had nothing to pay! I had to pay £13.90 on my Jeans as the woman didn't sendthem as a gift which if she had would not have got a charge according to customs! As a gift you are allowed £35 or $70 free.
The jeans for my friend were sent as a gift and there was no charge.
I also think its luck of the draw as the amounts they charge never seem to relate!
Still worth buying stuff though.

Hi we are going to disney at the end of this year, wondered if you are able to send items back to the uk. For friends and family, as they want me to get them items.
Can anyone advise please.
Thanks
