Orange broadband Livebox

I have read that I can connect a second phone line to my livebox. Am I right in thinking that the calls are free? It says I can call the USA inclusive, does this mean free? It would be handy for making my ADR's?

You can connect a phone direct into the Livebox which gives you a second phone line.

Calls to UK landline 01 and 02 numbers are free. Calls to a large number of countries are also free - the list is on the Orange website.

Calls to the US are definitely free.

Calls to Orange mobile phones are also going to be free

When you signed up for your Livebox you should have received an e-mail from Orange telling you that your phone line has been set up and advising a phone number.

Calls are over the internet so it will probably be an 0845 number.

You can plug in any normal phone, including a cordless phone.

As the calls are over the internet the quality is sometimes not perfect and at times the calls drop out. It is good while it is working but I certainly wouldn't rely on it as my main phone.

You will need to check the Orange website about free calls to Orange mobiles because that is new and I only received an e-mail telling me about it yesterday so haven't had a chance to look into it in detail.

Free calls have a time limit of I think two hours but you can redial and start again if you need to.

You also need to be signed up to Orange Broadband & Talk at £19.99 per month.
