Heard a while ago that this ride was closing for a refurb, does anyone know if that is still going ahead and when. DD is woried that she will not get to go on this ride this year as it is one of her favourite ones (not mine though, can not get that tune out of my head once you hear it) We go on the 10th May.

There is another thread on here about this and if I remember right someone said it's the Small world in Calafornia which is closed. I'm also relieved cos it's my DS's fave ride.

It's the one in California that is closing! If i remember rightly the one at WDW was only refurbed a couple of years ago! :wave:

Just had a look on the Disney Website and there are not operational updates being preformed in May 2008 :grin: . Thank god for that my husband would be in tears if 'A Small World' wasn't running :cry: . He loves it!!!!!!! If I remember correctly they did refurbish it last year some time. We go on the 3rd May so will check it out for you. :wave:

The WDW Small World was refurbished in 2004. It was closed while we were there in the summer.

It is now open in Florida i don't know about anywhere else.

I am glad its open in florida, my DD will be 6 when we go for the first time in July and I can guarantee we will queue as long as we have to.

We went on the one at DLP in august last year and she loved it but I believe the Florida one is nothing compared to that. We didnt just do it once though!!!!

The boats got stopped for some reason when we were last on it......OMG that tune drove me nuts!!!!!

I love that ride and so does DD. She calls it the dancing dollies ride. I love the tune especially when they parody Disney on the Shrek film!

Thanks you have made DD's day she would have been devastated had she not been able to go on it. Luckily the MIL is coming on the trip as well so i wont have to endure that awful tune.

I can't imagine it going down for any length of time for a whille, as it was down for a very long rehab in '04.

oh no :( we were hoping this was gonna be closed as my grandma is comming with us this year and its here first every disney trip and she really wants to go on this ride but the music really does me and my db head in you end up with the tune in your head for the whole holiday. but seen as its me grandma ill put up with it :grin:
