Which of the parks do you think is the best place to celebrate our son's 10th birthday?

We had planned to spend it in MK as his birthday would have been a couple of days after we arrived. I figured we could hang on to go there and therefore his birthday being so very special for him....and hope that he got lots of attention from any characters we met that day. However, we're now going to be in Florida earlier than originally planned and I don't think we can wait that long to go to MK! I'm not sure going a second time would have that WOW factor we're hoping for.

Does Typhoon Lagoon have any Disney characters wandering around as he's really keen to go there.

TL doesn,t have any characters wandering around although it is totally great for his age group also he can swim with the sharks and fish (have you thought of finding out about a surfing lesson at TL if you decide to go there ? )
some where on here it says about getting a birthday badge from geust services at disney and that this can be done a few days either side of his birthday so he would get the attention still from the CM and characters

MGM is good for characters. We were in guest services at Epcot, a little boy came in as it was his birthday, the man on the desk rang upstairs for him, next minute Goofey came down to say hello to him and give him his badge! So I think whatever park you go in you should get a lot of birthday attention, but I would say not as much at the water parks.
