Another DVD question...

I know about DVD players being region coded, so that US dvd's won't play on UK DvD players unless they are region-free or unlocked, but can anyone tell me if the same applies when playing DVD's on my desktop PC?

Generally, yes, as a machine comes out of the box. But there's ample software to resolve the situation for you.

you can change the region on your pc 5 times i believe in windows itself

go to device manager, properties of the player dvd region

Download a program called AnyDVD

Shouldnt have a problem then

if you want to change your dvd player go to www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks

enter the model of your dvd player and off you go, wont mess the warranty as you can just roll it back using the same methods
