Our first trip ( 04 ) we spent about 6 hours in DisneyQuest - and could have spent longer. Last trip ( 06) we found 3 hours ( inc a bite at the cheesecake factory ) was more than long enough, it seems to be a bit tired now. There are a couple of things worth trying ( esp if entrance is inc in your tickets ) there is a virtual/3D pirates game where you have to man the cannons while the floor goes up and down, try and blast the enemy ships out of the water - good laugh, there ia a 'simulated' raft ride where you sit on a sort of semi inflated bouncy castle and paddle away while the screen infront of you shows the river and obstacles etc, and a bumper car type ride ( that has a rather high height requirement) where you drive your cars around sucking up balls to fire at you opponents. They are the only games we would bother with again, all the others require virtual headsets ( helmets that make my head hurt ) or are the type of computer/ video games you can find anywhere.
Sorry, should have added that first trip the boys were 6 & 8, 2nd trip 8 & 10, not sure whether younger kids would get much out of the games I mentioned.
Another post script ! I forgot that on our first trip we spent alot of time in the creative zone - lots of arty type computer programmes and animation type games - that may be more suitable for little ones.
disney quest is at downtown disney tbh i personally wouldnt bother with it again have been once and was disapointed it seemed very disorganized and i found it all a bit claustrophobic but each to their own im sure a lot of people love it !

We tried Disney Quest for the first time last Sept. DH and my boys aged 5 and 6 at the time loved it in there. Its basically a huge arcade with lots of games to play.
I particularly liked going back to my youth playing Mr.Do! I also got rather involved with a target shooting game which was very addicitive, not to mention me trying to beat all the kids in there on Mario Kart!!:d: I really need to grow up!!
But we all really enjoyed it and would definately go again. It was an added bonus for me that they have a Cheesecake Factory in there and you can use the internet so i Dibbed whilst eating my cake, bliss!:tounge:

I've only been there once, many years ago. It was okay, your kids will probably find it entertaining for a couple of hours at least. If it's included in your tickets, I would couple it with shopping and eating at DTD.
Very loud, dark and very easy to lose your kids!!!
Not for us but it's worth trying :wavey:
went for the first time last year and we thought it was great, me hubby and dd loved pirates of the caribeen ride

We went for a few hours before our flight home and loved it. My ds's were 14 at the time. 5y old thought it was ok but a lot of the better games have height restrictions. We didn't get anywhere near what we wanted to do so will be back this year.
My ds's love computer games and I loved building my own rollercoaster (great fun). I would give it a go !!! :)

hi it does nothing for me apart from the cheesecake :tounge: but my son who will be 8 when we go back in oct keeps saying " and when we go to disney quest....."
not planning disney this time but will buy separate tickets for our day at DTD!! or i will be a bad mum!
We did not build our own rollercoaster (couldn't be bothered queuing)
so went for the most scariest pre programmed one, we were nearly sick.
Spent most of the day trying to beat high score on Galaxyon!!!!
We went because it was on our ticket. We enjoyed the raft ride and the virtual pirate game and that was about it. DH, DS who was then 15 did the design a rollercoaster, DH came out a very strange colour  We were with friends and had kids of various ages ranging from 5 to 15. After a couple of hours we'd had enough, adults had claustrophia and we just didn't like the atmosphere in there. Wouldn't go again. If it's in your ticket it though you may as well go and try it, you may like it.
We like it especially the newish pirates of the caribbean ride - great fun!

I think it's one of those you have to try it to see. Personally, we didn't like it much - found it claustrophobic, like those above. Also DS1 wasn't quite 3 at the time, and there was hardly anything for him to do because he wasn't tall enough. That meant that there wasn't much for us to do either, cos there wasn't much to do as single riders. I don't think we'll be going back, or certainly not until both of our boys are older - will wait and see if they're into computer games later on!

My Granddaughter loved it, mind you so did I, she persuaded me to build my own Rollercoaster, which I did, thinking this won't be all that good, put in plenty of twists and turns, upside downs etc, how wrong can you be, came off thinking I had been in a washing machine for ages, it was brilliant though.

We loved Disney Quest. We went twice (night time on both occasions). We spent quite a few hours in there both times. There is something for everyone.
I would definetely recommend it. You get in for free if you have the 14 day ultimate tickets (not sure about any other ticket).

This is an urban myth thats been running on the internet for years ;)

Basically a giant Arcade with some virtual reality machines. Would pass a few hours if your in the Downtown Disney area anyway.
We did it on the last day of our Holiday after dropping off luggage at the Virgin Check-in by Cirque de Soleil. Its included in most of the UK tickets but will use up one of your extras on the Premium tickets.
