Lisa, you will be able to take photos and video from the beach where they do the swims. There is sunloungers there aslo so if you wanted you could sit down while watching.

Dont worry you will not be on your own,its a great day weve been 3times and i would definatly go back again. :wavey:

Hi Lisa

The dolphin swim is for approx 30 mins so you won't be sat on your own all day ;)

There is an area where you are able to take pictures and video footage but you won't be as close as the official photographers. You should still be able to get some good pictures though. Bear in mind that your DH and DD's will be a group with others.

You should have a lovely day, it is so relaxing and you really get to chill out.

when we went it did say on the website no video cameras or cameras, to our disapointmet we followed this rule only to find a man standing on the rocks whilst the photogrophers where taking the pic's of my family in with the dolphin's. even if you dont swim with the dolphins you are still able to swim in the other area's. found that out when we got there.
hope you have as much fun as we did.

On a slightly related note, do you have to pre-book the photo/DVD packages before you visit or do they automatically take photos and footage of you, and your given the choice after?

I'd like to know this too...and also what price are we looking at and how many photos you get / what is the video like.
Thanks

You don't book or pay for anything until you are there. When you arrive in the morning you are allocated a swim time. Once the swim is completed you are taken into a hut where you watch a slide show of all the photos taken that session. This is where you are tempted to part with all your $$$$.They do try to sell you the video, and to be completely honest, I wouldn't buy it again as it has everyone from that session on it (there were only 2 of us so they put us with a loud family of 4 where the boy mother and son could be heard at all times  )

When we did the swim in 2004 we got 4 pictures and the video and it cost us $125, so I am guessing its a bit more than that now

you are given the choice after the dolphin swim. They take you to a little hut, even those in the family who dont swim can go to look at the photos.

They have different packages also dvd.video so you dont have to by all or any if you dont want and they dont pressure you into buying.

No you dont have to pre-book.

You should be able to get within about 20 feet of them

They also hold your photos for a few months so you can change your mind later if you dont buy there and then.

I talked my DSis out of paying a fortune on the spot saying we would look at the shots her husband had got from the rocks (non-swimmer) before making our minds up. When we got back to the villa and saw what he had got there was no need to pay well over the odds for their photos.

If nothiing had come out though we would have called back in one day before flying home and parted with the cash.
