Hi
we normally have at least 3 or 4 days where we do our shopping, mainly at premium outlets, florida mall, and mall at millenia.
last year for myself i bought jeans from calvein klein, t shirts and shirt from ralph lauren, cable jumpers and zippers from ralphy,
just wondering is shopping a major part of your holiday too or not. and what did u buy.

ha ha , its one of our highlights! dont do much here, grudge it with the prices over here so take advantage to get the things we would never buy in the uk, even my hubbie enjoys shopping in orlando and thats saying something ;)

We usually only spend an afternoon shopping and in 4 trips have only ever visited Festival Bay and the Prime Outlets!
This year we are planning on spending a day doing the Malls/shops along I-Drive! We were hoping to visit the Florida Mall, but as we are only there for 8 days i don't think we'll have time!

I used to have a day going to say Premium Outlets and Mall at Millenia, but TBH my ex was more of a shopper than me - he liked surfgear and stuff.
I find shopping on my holidays a chore really - live not far from the Trafford Centre and not a fan of clothes shopping or hunting for bargains.
Next trip - I'll let the others go if they want and i may just chill out back at the resort or head off to a park on my own.
I don't go on holiday to shop!

We do loads of shopping. We have a few visits to the premium outlets also the Florida Mall and Mall at Millenia. We love to go shopping so many bargains to be had. I would say on a 3 weeks holiday we would do at least 4 or 5 days at the shops or half days on the way back from somewhere else.

im really looking foward to doin a good bit of shopping whilst over there...much to my DFs dismay - "youre on holiday - you cant go shopping - you can do that anythime" thats what he thinks
What are the best bargains to be had?

I like to do some shopping but it's not much fun for the kids, so w usually do a couple of hours in the evenings maybe 2 or 3 times over the holiday, combined with a meal out and I can usually get away with a few shops but it's a challenge as I'd love to spend a few full days shopping but I know they'd be bored and it's their holiday too

Shopping doesn't feature on our "to do" list. We only go if we have time to kill :omg:

My kids love shopping, as long as they can buy something of course. DH usually goes off with DS and DD or she comes with me. I prefer the shopping to the parks! Love the parks but shopping is a priority for me. I dont get loads for myself as I'm a larger size but I love getting clothes and things for the kids. DH is another one that only buys clothes over there.

We go to Walmart on the first day to get the basics and then book one of the shopping trips where you go out for the day.
I managed to spend quite a bit of money ;) in a very short space of time

Once when I went to Boston with my lovely little sister  by the end of the holiday we were on first name terms with the colleagues in the Boston welcome centre we had shopped so much, unfortunately the DH does not share my passion that much even if things are sooooo much cheaper :erm:

Ha HA, my countdown is now under 100 days when it started at 450!!!!

My family dont like shopping we spend one afternoon doing the trainers and school shoes and jeans and maybe another afternoon looking for games, this is when its stormy or at the end of the holiday when we see what moneys left, my hubbie usually drops me off for a couple of hours by myself which is definitely the best as going with the others is terribel they just stand and look at you they just dont get the shopping thing! I don't mind having a good nose around the Malls, but never tend to buy much for myself! :(
DH hates shopping in this country and we never, ever go shopping together as we always end up arguing, but he is like a man possesed out there!
He's the only man i know who can say he hates the shops but comes home with a suitcase full of boots, coats and trainers!!!! :erm: :pgig:
This year DD plans on spending every penny she's got in Hot Topic, DH of course needs more shoes and i fancy some clothes, christmas decorations and yankee candles! We're taking 4 empty holdalls with us, just incase!!! ;)

A couple of days so we don't get Park Crazy. Bring on the shopping, too many days in the parks is enough to send a person mad. As much as I love them you do need a break from the parks so shopping is a great way to relax, have a bit of lunch some where, rest the purse and the legs, then start all over again   :pgig: :pgig:

I suppose it all depends on whether folk are "into" clothes etc, as every year We buy as much as we can as I said before what we pay in this country is rip off! we all like a bargain, and it really does give you a change from the parks, now that would put me off completley if i had to go to a park "every day" ;)

We usually go in Winter so the parks shut early, but the shops don't. Last December we went late night shopping a few times, plus a couple more at Downtown Disney. We also reserve a couple of afternoons for more shopping. In total we hit Florida Mall twice, M@M, Prime twice and Premium, DTD plus trips to Walmart to get a couple of Zunes.

I was told by my friends that Walmart's profits fell by half once I came home! ;)

I've already started a list of things I want to pick up and I don't even go until October! :spin: :spin: :d:

Of course Mum likes to pick up stuff for the grandkids and by the time I get over there I will have a new nephew to buy stuff for!

Never been shopping but have a couple of spare days this year so may end up shopping for one those. I'm of the "if you don't need it, why buy it just because it is cheap" mentality and my wife is the same so I expect we will be having a cheap visit. Our daughters on the other hand ...... :)

We don't shop. Cheaper or not, we have paid to go to Orlando for the fun stuff, not to go shopping.

Years ago DH and I took a couple of hours out to go to a mall and came away with a t-shirt for the next door neighbour's little girl and nothing else, so we just don't bother now. We have a look at the shops in the parks and DTD but that's all.

And yes we go to a park every day - can't get enough of them!

We also love the shopping - have not been to our town since Xmas coz can't see the point when everything is going to be 1/2 price to what we pay here!! Only downside is that WII games can't be bought - boohoo!! DH loves the shopping too & can't wait to buy some new golf stuff!

but shopping is fun.

And it isn't about just buying it because it is cheap, I put off buying clothes till I could get to Saks and Brooks Brothers outlet shops.

Not enough!!!!

We go with another family and we take the kids to Walmart and prob 1 or 2 malls and then we alternate every night with the other couple. They put the kids to bed and we go out shopping and then the next night we put the kids to bed and they go out. It works really well and we all get time on our own as well for a nice meal and some shopping.

I tend to visit Mall at Millenia about 3/4 times but fit in a meal at cheesecake factory or the one opposite so it's not totally shopping;). It's been a long time since I've been in Orlando with young kids which makes it easier to shop and DS & DD like to shop as the $ is so good. I usually go to Premium Outlet once or twice max. :thumbs-up

ATTENTION ALL SHOPPERS!

Hubby has 'allowed' me 1 afternoon & 1 evenings shopping trip.
First time to Disney with 3 kids in tow. :cool2:
Eldest boy 13 - into sports names, ECKO, NIKE etc
Middle boy 10 - not into fashion at all!
Girl of 6 - What can I say - She's a female and takes after her Mum!!
Question is:
What shop/mall should I head for?
How late are they open?
Whats the best place for trainers?

On a budget, so won't have loads to spend!
You all seem SOO experianced!!!!!!!!!!

First time has to be Florida mall, almost everything can be bought there. Here is the store directory for Florida Mall, as you can see its rather large!

http://www.simon.com/mall/directory.aspx?ID=139

If you click on the links it will take you to that stores website.

I would say Footlocker would be a good start for trainers.
