Hi Everyone... been looking for 14 day Disney Ultimate and the 14 day Universal Flex ticket including Aquatica for some time. The cheapest we could find was £164 and £115. I noticed my local Thomson`s had a big sign in it`s window saying "Attraction Tickets Slashed!!" so called in for a price. The best she offered was £179 and £119. When I told her what we`d found she was not only able to match, but beat our best quote! We now have both passes for 4 adults for £1108. We paid a £40 deposit with the balance to be paid 8 weeks before we go and we collect the tickets direct from the shop. It just shows it pays to haggle.

If you can get a cheaper price on the internet print it out and take it in and they should match that price .We did that with First Choice last week with Disney tickets and they are matching the price.

We didn`t even do that. We just said we`d seen it cheaper with a company that advertises on the DIBB and she beat it straight away!! The power of the DIBB

I saw the same thing in our local Thomson shop window a few weeks back. I was tempted and went in to check and every single ticket was much more than the prices I'd seen quoted online and she tried to tell me that the tickets we wanted didn't exist! There was no offer to price match :(

I'm tempted to give this a go. Do you know whether you will get the actual tickets or vouchers?

I asked that and she said it`s an voucher with a ref on it. You collect it when you pay the balance and then it`s redeemable at the parks. If you should lose it in the meantime it can be replaced as they have copies of the references there, which she thinks is safer than actually having the tickets. Also as you collect it direct from the shop there`s no worry about it getting lost in the post.
If anyone goes into Thomsons and they won`t price match tell them that we got ours from the shop on Queen St in Cardiff ;)

I'm all for saving money, but if Thomson's will price match with companies advertising on the DIBB then isn't it fairer to buy your tickets from the companies that advertise, and therefore finance, the DIBB....??

And I'd be very surprised if the DIBB advertisers wouldn't price match against a lower quote from Thomson's. No?

I agree with Mickieengland... I am now checking prices etc and will favour those supporting this site even if theres a bit extra to pay... why? Simple... after 12 years or so of visiting Florida and trolling many websites this site is GOLD DUST... or PIXIE DUST if you like... and elfishly I want the great advice and prices in future years... no price from DIBb to quote to Thomnsons etc you will pay THEIR 'slashed' price in the future.... seems you really got a 'slashed' price when you told them about a real deal.
