When we went in December my Mum said it was salmon, fruit and nuts.
she really enjoyed it on the way out but not as good on the way back.

Good idea - I have always found that they are not very good - especially out of America. I have been given orange juice and dried fruit! All full of sugar!! Better to have a regular meal and eat what you can!

I think you've made the right decision switching to 'ordinary' meals. In my experience, the diabetic meals never had sufficient carbohydrate value in them and, because of that, I used to always have to ask for extra bread - not exactly what you want your meal to mainly consist of :nonono:.
Another vote for the right decision, far better to either take your own stuff or have a 'normal' meal.
I was told that Virgin get 'guidance' from Diabetes UK who advocate 5 portions of fruit a day, but either way the carbohydrate value is pants.
I think Virgin have got their wires crossed with their diabetic meals - the fruit isn't great for type 2s but is for type 1s, but the limited carbs is OK for type 2s but not for type 1s. :confused2 :confused2
