What Happened to Alien Encounter?

Hello All,

Can anyone tell whether Alien Encounter is still at Magic Kingdom?

My friend has been going through her new Brits guide & can't find it anywhere... It may have disappeared some time ago for all we know - none of us have been to Florida since 2001!

Yep Disney closed a really good ride in Alien and replaced it with a rubbish one called Stitch....a complete waste of time IMO

Same preshow almost, same 'chamber' area - REALLY rubbish and pointless story about Stitch. Heard bad reports but thought we'd try it and see - I nearly fell asleep lol

yes Alien Encounter has gone .. It was thought too scary for Magic Kingdom so they changed the story to Stitch .. :zzz: now it is not suitable for anyone :( too dark and scary harnesses for little uns and too :zzz:utterly boring for anyone else ... they should have just left it as it was with a PG 13 on it..

just bad planning I guess, think if had been in Epcot it may have survived

and they have had to change height limit a few times as little kids were leaving in hysterics

Loved Alien Encounter when it was there - Stitch just does not have the same affect. A bit of a damp squib now unfortunately.

I liked Alien Encounter, don,t like the sound of Stitch though :(

It scared the pants of me in 2001. Cant say I miss it but I'm not a Stitch fan so I've not been on the replacement ride either

Our daughter loves the character Stitch and dragged us onto the ride.

We all thought it was a complete waste of time (including her)

I used to like Alien Encounter, it was better than mission to mars which was there before it, anyway - stitch - went on it in the summer, too many small kids escaping their harnesses and crying for my liking. Not scary, not funny, not particularly entertaining.
