earning ears

I was just wondering about the ear thing, I know that the more you post, the more your ears go up, but my ears haven't moved for ages and i've posted loads! Are there only particular ways to earn them? am I doing something wrong?

I'm no to sure admin would be best answering that but if it anything like other forums no its based soly on your posts and how many there are of them. Dont forget though the boundary for getting a better rating goes up each time, so for the first half mickey head i think its 10 posts but then the next one might be 100 and the one after that 500, your have quite a few mickey heads so youll need alot...i wouldnt worry about it :tounge: its no big deal not haveing 5 mickey heads (he says with his half head :( )

Also if threads are too old and or useless they get deleted and so do your posts so it brings your post count down again.

when the count was available we were getting so much rubbish on here it was hard to find the interesting stuff, people were just posting for the sake of it. I recall someone reaching thousands of post in just a few months.....lol you know who you are.

thanks everyone, makes perfect sense now, i'm not bothered about getting a full set, i'm just a curious person. I can't believe someone had thousands in a few months, did they do anything else?!?

It will be ages until I get mine, I'm more of a listener (or reader) than a poster! Just noticed I got a new half one today though!! If we got ears for the number of times we visit the site I would have loads!! Must try and stay off in work though!!

Don't really think it's changed much then to be honest. There's still an awful lot of junk being posted that makes it harder, as you say, to get at the really useful stuff.
