I have a prescription from my eye test and I want to buy glasses and prescription sunglasses on my hols.
Any recommendations? I know there is lenscrafters but I was hoping to get it slightly cheaper.
Thanks

My wife took her prescription a couple of years ago and found there was little or no difference in the price in the USA.
She had them made at Boots when she came back which was a good thing really because they had to go back a couple of times for repair, a fact well worth consideration.

The only time I did was at Lenscrafters and they were really good and I did find them cheaper than in the UK, but that was in 2006.
I lost my prescription glasses the last time we were in Orlando, 2006. I looked at Walmart but the did not have the correct lenses and the frames were quite old fashioned.
I ended up at Lenscrafters in The Florida Mall. The service was great with a good choice of frames but they were not any chaeper than over here.

My Auntie took her perscription with her in Nov 2007 as she wanted some new glasses. She said there wasnt much difference in price compared to the UK.

I have just comeback and broke my specs I went to JC Penney optical and had 2 pairs of variofocals one tinted back in 24 hours They had a special on and I paid $508 total and I see on my credit card at $1.90 it has cost me £267 I was quoted £250 in uk for 1 pair of lenses without the frames
2 years ago I bought rimless from Walmart at the bottom of HWy535 below Beuna vista outlet and they were excellent, Giselle was great and if we had been nearer I would have gone back to her as our local WM has a real old fashioned guy in charge which reflected in his stock
If you go mention my name to her she was great knew we were buying a house

Thanks for the tip! At least with Walmart you can take it back to Asda if they were faulty.
