jw marriott las vegas

thinking of staying here in the summer, i know its well away from the strip,but been there done that enough times now ,so looking for a quality hotel we can relax at and goto the strip when it suits.has anyone stayed at the jw marriott vegas ? whats the weather like in june ?

we have used Marriott for a few year for now (we own a timeshare with them) and i am always amazed with the quality of service we receive.

In a way it has spoilt us as we now expect the same quality from all.

honestly you will not go wrong with a marriott place

i know im a fan of the brand too,normally stay at marriott or jw just never been to the jw in vegas

Off to Vegas tomorrow for another 3 nighter, love that place and staying at my fav the Luxor.


But friends are there just now staying at the Marriott.

Friends of ours went end of June beg of july a couple of years ago & it was HOT!

I'm going in March and staying at the Signature MGM having been in March and April we know the weather can range from sleet to boiling!!

Having booked this my neice decided to get married there in June, so will be going back, we've studied the weather and it looks like it will be blooming hot then. We're going to stay at the Excalibur for that visit as the bride and groom will be staying at the Luxor so we thought the Excalibur would be the better (and slightly cheaper) option, we've stayed at the Excalibur before and were happy with everything but this time we're going to book one of the upgraded rooms with a strip view. :)

weve always stayed on the strip b4.mandalay bay,aladdin and the hotel at mandalay,just fancied somewhere nice and quiet this time,jw marriott seems to get really good reviews

Well the Marriott is fine but notwithstanding the latest points promotion, it would seem The Hotel @ Mandalay Bay or Signature @ MGM Grand have the " not a casino hotel " covered, especially if you bag an upgrade to MGM Signature lofts.
We hired a convertible in June from Alamo McCarran because they were cheap, realised why @ 110 degrees the roof never came down and the air-con was inefficient compared to a saloon.
Saying that June was OK to visit, especially Lake Las Vegas, Lake Mead etc.

thanks for that pino spetzberg, weve done the hotel @ mandalay a couple of times now,whilst we did like it there,want to be right away from the strip this time and the jw marriott does look and sound lovely ,so gonna give that a try this time . DW loves the heat although im not such a lover ,thank god for aircon is all i can say

like Gaz, we have timeshare with Marriott and have always been impressed with any Marriott hotel we have stayed in. We stayed at the Marriott Grand Chateaux in Vegas in 2006 and loved it. don't know if its available to rent or not.

still not answering your question on the JW but depending on how far you want to be away from the strip you can get very good deals at Loews resort at Las Vegas Lake (which is nowhere near LV - hence the "away from the strip", but worth considering for a resort holiday).

thanks for your replies eveyone,pretty sure we will be going to the jw marriott ,its far enough away from the strip to be quiet ,but not that far we cant get to the strip easily
