MY mum found a good price of £754 for a week AI in Benidom in the Flamingo Oasis (javascript:void(0)) hotel.

Has anyone stayed here or in this area and can you recommend or know of any good or bad points??

Thanks

Try reading the reviews on www.Tripadviser.com you will get some information from there.

When we went a few years ago we stayed beside there in the other Flamingo Apartments and we would never go back again.

Put it this way 18 - 30 they were jumping off the blumming balconies and all sorts.

We were pleased when it was time to come home.

Sorry dont want to put you off but do be aware Benidorm is really busy and loud in high season.

we stayed in this hotel a few years ago, it was new year and was till quite busy, the hotel is gorgeous, rooms spacious and food lovely!
but on the down side i can see it being too busy in the summer, it all depends what you want, the area is fine and away from all the loud bars/idiots etc.

Terra Mitica is a good day out!

Try the Sol Ocas/Sol Pelicanos, I stayed there in 2005 and it didn't attract the 18/30s sort of crowd.

I think it depends on what time of year you're going.
We took the lads for the 2nd week of Easter last year and stayed at the Terralta apartments SC for £700 and had a great time, it wasn't too busy and not full of "yobs" at all. Myself and DH have decide to go back again this year for a short break as you can see from my countdown :D and are staying in the Melia hotel Half Boardcost £400
As people have said check out Tripadvior, there is a Benidorm forum on there and they will answer all your questions, just be careful of the ones who have tunnel vision though IYKWIM ;)

Check out this site to see a live webcam

http://webcam.comunitatvalenciana.com/webcambenidorm-benidorm1.htm?id_camara=63

If you scroll down the page there is a link for weather which shows you the forecast and is pretty accurat.

For cheap and cheerful you can't beat it. Not that it is a place I'd want to go to for our main family holiday every year but its better than nothing if on a budget for a year

we stayed here last year for 6 nights, i booked last min off thomson web site, we drove up and paid £300 for 3 of us all inclusive, i was a little apprehensive doing all inclusive, not really our cup of tea but i have to say the hotel was lovely, food very good catering for all tastes, from spanish to mexican to english, rooms were a good size and hotel was spotless

At that time of year it will be busy but mainly with the older people, so i cant see there being many 18-30s type around as the season dosnt really get going till around may, i know its busy all year in benidorm but its the golden oldies untill the end of april

Weather at that time can be hit and miss, all this week its been fantastic sun, around 22 and its only jan, next week it could be a lot cooler,

We have also stayed at the melia which is just before the flamingo and that is a nice hotel too, food was a lot more spanish which we love, both good hotels

Can I offer a bit of advice for them to be careful with their valuables. My DBIL was pickpocketed at New Year as he was getting his suitcases off the coach when they arrived at the hotel. He never felt a thing. Apparently its rife in Benidorm at the moment.
