Hiya

Iv come up with an itinerary and hoped someone whos been before would comment if its a good plan or not! We plan to go on 27th May 08 for 2 weeks(im guessing the weather in LV will be high 20's and in LA and DS low 20's?).

Flying Manchester to Las Vegas:
6 nts at Mandalay Bay, then saving a whole day to drive to LA (with mall stops en-route ;) ).
3 nts at Beverly Garlands Holiday Inn LA, we want to go Universal Studios and have a general mooch round the touristy areas of Hollywood. Iv no idea where this hotel is I just chose it out of a brochure as it said it was close to Universal!
5 nts at Handlery Hotel and Resort San Diego - visiting the zoo, sea world, wild animal park and beaches then flying home from San Diego airport.

We plan to pick a car up after weve checked out of the Mandalay Bay then drive to LA and keep the car until we fly home. Is it safe to go out at night round LA? Does anyone know if there things to do in the evening by the hotels in LA & SD?

Ta :thumbs-up

if your hotel in LA is close to Universal you are a good taxi ride away from Sunset and Hollywood Blvd. YOu will be fine at night in LA if you stick to the tourist areas. To be honest, you would have been better staying in one of the tourist areas such as West Hollywood or Santa Monica as you would loads to do at night. However, I don;t know your hotel well so there may be stuff local to do.

Malls in LA are ok, but nowhere near as good as Orlando. Beverly Center is okay, as is Century City. 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica is nice.

Hope this helps!
