View Full Version : Dibb email notifications?
For the last couple of days I've not been getting email notifications from the Dibb with replies to posts, pms, etc.
Has anyone else had any problems?

Hi Clare
We are having the same problems. I have tried removing all cookies , even uninstalling anti virus then re installing to no avail. I am glad it's not just us.

I am receiving notifications of pms, posts etc but in the past few days the font has been tiny and I can hardly read it - maybe I should go to Specsavers :d:
We haven't changed anything this end.
Clare & Barry I note that you are both using Blueyonder (Virgin), I wonder if they are blocking the emails.
Some ISP's actively block emails from forum sites, incorrectly thinking they are spam because of the volume originating from the same site.

Any idea of what we can try to allow the emails through Stu please?

I'm not getting them and with Virgin Media too.
That sounds more like it Stu. I've been having problems with Virgin media/blueyonder on another issue.

I've noticed that when I start a thread and click on the "instant e-mail notification" I don't get any e-mails and the threads are not in my Subscribed Threads folder :erm: It's happened quite a few times

Stu I have been on virgin's email site and changed the way spam emails are handled. I will see if this works.

All my email notifications came through at 3am. Must be a Virgin media thing.

Ours did as well, it's a pain not having instant notification of PMs more than anything else. Why Virgin media have suddenly just started with this I don't know

I've not received any email notifications again today, nor a test email I sent myself. Its so frustrating isnt it.

We had this problem last year and we are with hotmail. Stu gave us a few different email ending addresses that the dibb use and put them into our safe list, and everthing has been okay since. After saying that, my dibb notifications had never gone into my junk folder anyhow, but they just disappeared out of my address book :confused2
Blueyonder have been having mail problems all day. All the email was sitting on our mail queue because BY could not handle any more maill connections. The response was "Please try later" :)

I've sorted the problem, but can someone help me with the subscription's that i'm not subscribed to, as i'd like to keep up with these, is it possible to still subscribe to them? :confused2
Yes, go into your user cp and you will see your recent subscriptions. If you click on view all subscribed threads you will then see next to each thread there is the option to subscribe.

Hi Tiff
Thank's but the ones i want to keep are not in my subscriptions, theve disappeared
In that case, you would have to go to each thread by doing a search and then click on thread tools at the top of the thread, then subscribe.
