I know Walmart sell everything but can somebody tell me whether I can get the following bits in Publix:

Aqua shoes (suitable for the water parks)
Fancy dress cossies (for Pirates & Princess Party - if we're lucky)
Inflatables (for the pool - rings, armbands etc)

and DS is shouting in the background - Krispy Kreme doughnuts?

Thanks.

Hi
I agree, you'll get aqua shoes and inflatables, but never seen Disney costumes!

I actually thought Publix had a better selection of Aqua shoes than Walmart. We went to Walmart to get them and ended up buying them in Publix.

I think you'll find that the closer you are to a tourist area (meaning 192 and I-drive) the grocery stores will be more geared towards tourism and tourism items. As a standard Publix has a couple of isles of household items but they don't have a clothing range like you'd find in Asda or Tesco's. Also, the prices are generally higher at grocery stores but with the currency exchange you don't notice it as much. As a resident I do so I shop for toiletries and other household needs at Target.

I stopped in to the Winn Dixie off of 535 just north of the Downtown Disney shopping area and was surprised by how much they had to offer. I would compare them to a Somerfield shop and their prices are cheaper. A good place to look if you are staying in this area.
