Hello friends,

Just come across this board, and it loks amazing. Im getting excited now for my holiday.

My question is after going to disney in paris. I want to go onto bigger things. We are a family of 7 adults and two children (8 & 10, when departure)

We are wanting to go to disney florida and bush gardens, everything.

I want to aks what is the best option, staying on-site or off-site?

What would the best tickets be for us to get?

The attraction we want to visit, are:

Animal Kingdom
Disney Studios
Magic Kingdom (DEFINATELY!!!)
Epcot
Universal Studios
Island of adventure
Seaworld
Bush Gardens
and a few water parks.

We are going for 3 weeks.

Also what happens at night when the parks are shut, what can be done.

Is it posible to explore a bit of america too? away from disney?

Thanks for all your advice guys, this site rocks.

BTW the holiday is booked for 7 AUG 05

Is this an appropiate time to go, if not please mention when, thanks

Hi there,
Welcome to the boards - you'll find out all you need to know here.
I responded yesterday to a post called "best tickets and other advice please" with info about tickets, it may be useful for you to have a look.
There's plenty to do at night as well. Let us know whereabouts you're staying, as there are things to do in Downtown Disney or I Drive. Or maybe you're getting a villa?
You could do far worse than get "A Brit's Guide to Orlando" by Simon Veness, I called it my bible when we were there.
Cheers,
Sandra

 Hi

Welcome to the Dibb :mickey2:
A villa may be for you with being a big group, you may need a five day hopper but I see you are going for 3 weeks so you could get 10 day tickets, can only be bought here not in the USA, Down town Disney is open late at night and the shopping malls stay open late :mickey:
All the parks you have listed are well worth a visit :donald:
If you go for the 10 day tickets you will get a free character breakfast each, we had ours at Breakfastasaurus at Animal Kingdom, you can phone and make a PS from here ( someone will have the No to ring ) you also get access to Disney Quest at Downtown Disney West side:goofy:
If you stay off site be sure to try the All You Can eat meals, breakfast, lunch and dinners, we use Golden Corral, you pay as you enter and then fill up your plates as many times as you wish, please be warned you can hardly move after :mickey:
You will find it is much much better than Paris :flowerfac

Hi and welcome to the DIBB !

You've gone and done it now - you'll want to go back to Orlando again and again - you'll get smitten by the place (just like the rest of us) - you will really have a fantastic holiday there

Be prepared for the heat in August though.

Driving over there is really easy - I expect you'll have 2 cars or one of those mini bus Dodge things. Anyway, there's lots of things to do in Orlando and the surrounding area. Next time we go, we want to travel over to the Gulf Coast (about 1.5 hrs drive I think) to Clearwater and St Pete's - it's supposed to be really nice over that side.

Busch Gardens is over that way too - I know Anita has been to BG, so she'll be able to help. The Orlando 5 Park Flex Ticket includes entry to BG and is a must for you - allows unlimited entry to both Universal Parks, SeaWorld and Wet'n'Wild for 14 days.

The two Disney Water parks are included on the Disney Hopper Plus tickets.
For more info on tickets, look on the left panel on the DIBB home page.

Don't forget to include some rest and shopping days, otherwise you'll get exhausted. There's SO MUCH to do in Orlando that you'll have to miss things and do them next time ('cos there will be a next time, no doubt). And the FOOD is out of this world.

Don't forget, even if you get a villa, you can still go and visit the Disney Hotels and make reservations in their restaurants - just take ID with you.
