View Full Version : Round the World trip
Hi all,
We decided not to go to Florida for our Hols this year, Instead we have just booked a 5 week round the world trip to include Singapore, a few stops in Australia and back via USA.
Cant wait now only 8 months to go, its taken ages to plan!!
Has anyone else here done this sort of trip recently. If so any hints and tips.
Eds.
Haven't had the time to do this type of trip - but boy do I wish I could.
If you can stop in Hawaii - one of those places it so hard to get too, unless you are going around the world. Its a beautiful place
You are very lucky - enjoy
We spent 4 months in Australia last year, stopping at Hong Kong for a few days and Singapore on the way back. In Oz we flew into Melbourne and the drove all the way up to Cape Trib then we flew to Darwin and drove all the way down to Perth (with a little detour to Ayres Rock). For Austalia I would recommend Sydney,Melbourne, Whitsunday Islands, Port Douglas, Margaret River for wine tours and caving & Ayres Rock (loads more but appreciate you'll be short on time). For Hong Kong I'd recommend the street markets, the harbour and the mountain on HK Island (can't think what it's called.) For Singapore I'd recommend Raffles for a Singapore Sling, Duck Tours, shopping & the DHL baloon.
I'm sure you'll have loads of fun as we certainly did.

unfortunately due to time restrictions we chose not to stay in Los Angeles so getting to Fiji was one hell of a journey!
