Anyone any ideas on how to do this, not keen on the buses that go, I would like to go for 3 nights/4 days by train/plane from Liverpool. Would drive at a push, but not too keen on it.

Just had a nosey around the DLP website... over £600!!! I could go to Florida for that much!

Any ideas, I probably wont be going to WDW this year, would like a mid-week break to DLP instead

Our currently planned trip to Florida was funded on the logic that it was about the same price as four days in Paris flying from Liverpool airport staying on site. So although I can't offer any tips about going to Paris, see if you can extend this 'logic' yourself to a trip to Florida.

Think that DLP is a bit cheaper for midweek when kids are in school, that was the last time we went and the parks were certainly quieter.

The coach trips are usually the cheapest way to do it to be honest.

It isnt a "cheap" break by any means - the best thing to do is just keep checking prices. If you are flexible then you may find a mid week break within your budget. We have also priced it up and been surprised at how close to Florida prices it can be sometimes! I got one quote that was nearly £2k for 3 NIGHTS!!!!

This is what happened to us last year... we were orginally ment to be going to DLP, and TBH it wasn't much more to go to WDW... so we did!

But staying offsite and using budget airlines and/or eurostar deals it can be whole lot cheaper then Florida!
Plus you will pay less for shopping (as there are fewer opportunities), don't need car hire etc and other park tickets. Especially if you can be bit flexible for dates etc. I have never quite understood the reasoning that it is cheaper to go to Florida (though I'd like to believe it!)

Me neither!!:confused2

Our half term trip in Feb is costing £440 staying onsite for 5 days with park tickets and breakfast for the 4 of us.

If anyone knows how i can get to Florida for the same please tell me and i will cancel this trip!;) It costs me double that on park tickets alone for WDW!

We're going at end of July but we're going via the Eurotunnel - cost NIL we've used our Tesco Clubcard vouchers :D

We're staying at a campsite 15 mins from Disney in a mobile home for 4 nights, then travelling down to the Loire Valley for 8 days.

From Liverpool I usually fly with Easyjet to Paris. (you can get some really cheap flights depending on when you want to go)

Then I usually book the hotel myself - I found this cheapest to be via the disney website

We stayed at the Hotel Etap in Val D'europe at Christmas 55€ per night for up to 3 people. We booked flights with Easyjet (around £60 return from Edi) and as we already had annual passes from our june trip - entry to the parks was already covered.

There is an offer this year (running until early April) that for every adult annual pass you buy , you can get a free one for a child under 7. Would that help you any ?

Use SkyScanner to find cheap flights, a very quick glance turned up some for £45 - I don't think you could drive for £45.

Then look at staying at the Holiday Inn, or Kyriad - they are both just offsite but with shuttles to the parks just like the onsite hotels have. We booked ours direct with Holiday Inn and paid about half off the price of the Cheyenne. (Just checked and you can get the Kyriad for 90 Eur/night which is around £60)

Annual Passes for DLP is €120 and that's less than the price of a 4 day hopper and will give you discounts on all food/drink/shopping.

As much as I'd like to believe I could do WDW for the same price as DLP, I just don't believe it to be true. Sure, if you travel peak season, stay at the Disneyland Hotel and book your flights through Disney you might pay top whack, but it is definitely possible to do it for less.

]March 11-15,
EasyJet - £45
Kyriad € 348 = £258
Annual Pass = £90

I make that £528 for 2 people for 4 nights.

Or you could knock about £90 off that if you stay at the Etap. (http://www.etaphotel.com/etaphotel/fichehotel/gb/etp/5047/fiche_hotel.shtml)
