View Full Version : Disney ticket Question??
Hi Guys, just a quick question for you all!! When we go to Olando, we only visit Disney once or twice during our stay and we find that the tickets work out preety expensive, we have bought from various ticket booths along the 192, just a 1 or 2 day pass, but what I was wondering is, which ticket would I need to buy to be able to upgraded them to nonexpiry? whats the most amount of days I could get and do they include water parks ect? don't really want the hopping option, where's the best place to buy them from? thanks!:wavey:

We have just bought 10 day non-expiry tickets with the water park & fun option. 10 days is the most days you can buy and these will last us for 2 or 3 trips. You can add days, options and non-expiry to any of the Magic Your Way type of tickets.
I found the best deal was from undercovertourist via the mousesavers link.
Thankyou!! I just checked out the tickets, just 1 question, if you buy the magic your way plus water park and fun nonexpiry 10 day ticket, do you get 10 park visits and 10 plus visits?? (20 visits altogether) sorry for being a bit thick!!!

Yes Sarah it's 10 plus 10 so 20 in total. Whilst you can't hop you can come away at lunchtime and go back to the same big park later in the same day.

Lynn :wavey: am i right in thinking you can use as many of the 'visits' in one day as you want even if it's not a MYW hopper?

Yes it's 20 visits in total, 10 to the main theme parks and 10 plus visits, water parks etc so could be used over 20 days. You can use more than one plus visit in a day but only one main park visit, so for example you could do MK in the morning, BB in the aftenoon and DQ in the evening but that would use 1 day and 2 plus visits. You can leave and re-enter the same main park in a day but not hop to a different park.
The hopping option is an extra $45 if you need it.
Thankyou very much for your reply's, that's settled then, the 10 day MYW ticket with water park and fun option, non-expiry it is!!!! that should last us a good 6 to 8 holidays, we only do 1 0r 2 Disney days, and we never park hop, so we won't be needing the hopper option!! thanks again!:wavey: (p.s. Welshwiz, my DD loves the spongebob bedroom in your villa, she's spongebob mad, her bedroom at home is plastered with him, gives me nightmares just going in there!!)

Thanks for that I was also a bit confused on how many trips to water parks.

Hi, we go for our first time in July and Im a little confused re the park hopping. :confused2
I was going to get 10 day MYW base ticket only, no hopping or water parks, will pay for them on the day.
The base ticket is for the 4 main disney parks, if we dont get a hopper what does this actually mean?
If we do AK in the morning and go back to the villa can we then do say MK or epcot at night or does it have to be AK again.
I have been advised to get hoppers because Epcot and AK wont take a full day and then we can hop to another park. What other parks could we hop to?
As you can see I am very confused
any help is appreciated. :)

Hopping means the ability to visit more than one theme park in a day, for example if you wanted to do a morning at AK then the afternoon at Epcot you'd need the hopper option as the base tickets don't allow that. With the hopper option you could visit every park in one day if you wanted and it would still only count as 1 day off your ticket.
Hopping only applies to the main parks, MK, AK, Epcot and Hollywood Studios, water parks count as plus visits so you could hop from AK to Blizzard Beach but that would use up 1 day and 1 plus visit. You could visit Typhoon Lagoon and DisneyQuest in one day but that would use up 2 plus visits.
If you want to return to your villa for a break you'd need to return to the same park as you visited in the morning or use a plus visit later, you couldn't do a different park in the evening unless you had the hopper option.
I hope I've explained that OK, it is confusing :confused2

If you don't select the hopper option then you'll have to go back to the same park in the evening you can not use 2 big park days in the same day but if you select the hopper option you can hop to all four and it will only count as one day off your ticket.
Epcot will take 2 days inmho ;)
Also if it's your first time at AK and you plan to see the shows there too then you'll need the full day there. We can wiz around AK now but that's by picking our favourite rides and choosing not to wait for a show if our timings go pear shaped

thanks for the replies.
In your opinion do you think we would do 2 parks in 1 day, taking into account we will have a 6 year old with us ?
The hopper does not add much to the base tickets and we are going to buy the water park tickets on the day we actually decide to visit them along with universal and kennedy space centre. We will just pay on the day.
Any suggestions, sorry to seem a bit thick but this is the first time and have never previously bought attraction tickets for our other holidays :)
thanks again
Have you considered the 14 day ultimate ticket?? this would give you 14 days unlimited access to the 4 main Disney parks as well as the water parks and Disney quest!!! that way you can hop between any of the parks as much as you like during the 14 days!! When we used to Do mainly Disney, when the children were younger, this is the ticket we found to be the best value for money and the most flexible option!! I think it's around £170 per adult now, but by the time you buy the MYW base ticket, and add the hopper option and pay at the gate for the water parks, the price will soon add up!! just a thought!!!:wavey:

We don't park hop but we do plan our days before we go so I'd say get a list of opening times & busy days etc and jot down an itinerary then you'll see a bit better what it's possible to achieve.
I would also recommend buying your Universal tix beforehand too for example a 2 park unlimited admission for 7 days to IOA/US was about $85 plus tax when I last checked or keep an eye out for the free kids tix per adult ticket which are sometimes available.
Again with KSC if it's definately somewhere you want to go tix can often be cheaper when bought beforehand.
I noticed you are going in July. Disney is hot and crowded at that time so I think you will need whatever ticket provides the most flexibility esp with a 6yo (and parent) who may tire out. Solo mentioned the 14D ultimate. Have you considered that option?

We have but hubby thinks that may be a waste as 2 days are travelling and we want shopping days etc.
I am thinking about getting the MYW hopper and water park option now or just add the hopper to the base tickets.
i have checked several sites and prices are quite reasonable, some even deliver to the place you are staying! :)
