big men!!!!!

hiya, just wondering if anyone can tell me how easy it is to get big mens clothing in florida??? my hubby is a size 4xl/5xl. i was in new york in november and found it extremely hard getting big clothes for him :( , the only thing i could get it were some fruit of loom tops in 4xl at walmart!!!! he was a bit disgusted really, as he wanted proper named brands lol. i just kept thinkin to myself, "where do all these BIG american men get all their clothes from" lol. anyways, and help and info would b very much appreciated, thanx, nad

check out the sports shops adidas and nike, they have big sizes... not sure about anything none sports though

Sears and JC Penneys both have very large regular - not sports gear, trousers, shirts etc.

:wave: hiya i am sure in the Nike outlet they had really large sizes as my father in law is a xxxl and some of the clothes were to big for him, i think it is because clothes like baseball/sports tops/bottoms etc are made larger anyway, might be worth a look in there if you get chance apart from that there is Walmart/Kmart & Target :wave: :pd

hey guys, thanx for ur help, yes my sis was in florida 2 years ago and brought some nike/reebok t shirts home for my hubby, and also his grandparents were in st louis and brought some big dogs t shirts back, i guess i was just starting to panic as i couldnt understand why new york didnt seem to have anything, despite the amount of large people there. once again thanx for ur help :grin: ;) :spin:

just reading your thread my dh tells me that old navy do big mens clothes as he got stuff from there on our first trip didnt need them on our 2nd trip as he lost 8 stone but thats another story !!!!!!!!!!!!!! :pgig:

Dont worry you,ll definetly find clothes for your DH :D I,ve seen plenty of larger sized men clothes shopping in the outlet stores.

OK ... easy... there are stores called Casual Male XL all over the place. I believe they go up to 6X+. One is on I-Drive past Kirkman. I'm not sure where the others possibly near the Florida Mall. Check their website. www.casualmale.com

On wearing one of the shirts (a Nike Air with a huge print of a basketball shoe), back in the UK I was asked buy a bunch of kids where I'd bought it as they thought it was cool! Made my day :) As Malcolm has mentioned, Big Dogs is a good store but I'd get one size bigger than you think you need. We found one of these stores at the LBV outlet but I guess there are probably more.

Don't bother with the Nike outlet stores as although they used to do bigger stuff but it was non-existent last August.
