You can use your UK membership to access the US stores.
The only one we have used in Florida is on Orange Blossom Trail just past the turn off for Central Florida Parkway

I'm a bit scared to go in there!! Given the large sizes of everything in Costco here I kind of wonder what the sizes will be like over there!! Maybe 3 gallon vats of ketchup or 10 litres of fabric conditioner or a whoe pig instead of a rack of ribs?!!!!! Keep meaning to go and have a look just to see but haven't done it yet.

I have found the package sizes to be similar to here, I think they just make the bakery goods etc here like they do there.
I remember getting 2 packs of Bagels like they do here and the big bowls of cubed fruit, also one of raw veg with a tub of dip.
There are 6 of us so its worth us going once in the 1st week.
They also did ready to cook things like Lasagne, they would probably do 2 meals for us.
We tend to eat dinner in about a third of the time.
They also do the pancake mixes and Ghiradelli brownies the same as they do here.

Yes you can use your UK card but they wont accept debit cards its either cash or american express!, also we tried to get petrol but because our card didnt have a magnetic strip it wouldn't go through.
Also you can return anything that you buy in the UK. On our last visit I bought dining chair covers which tie with a big bow at the back and they were $28 for 4 - bargain!, we also have bought uni/IOA tickets which were on special and cheescake factory cheescake. I would really recommend a visit when you are there

If you want to but petrol at Costco...you can get a card inside at the till (cash card), you can use this at the pumps or at the tills.

To get fuel you need to talk to the attendant who is always about. The US Costco memberships cards have a mag stripe that the UK ones don't so they will swipe theirs to start the process. You can pay using American Express or debit card.

We use Costco to get all the towels etc for the villa, I was in there last week.

Its very similar to the UK store to be honest, not sure why you would want to go there while on holiday (unless you own a villa!!)
