departure date?

Hi :wave: i am about to purchase my theme park tickets from americanattractions but they ask for my departure date from the uk.
Im not going until june but i want to get them as soon as possible.

So my question is:

does it matter what date i put in for my departure date? If i put in an earlier date will i get them quicker than if i put my departure date as june? and will they still be ok to use even tho im not going until june?

I haven't used that company but normally this date is simply used as a guide for them to send the tickets out to you.
It allows them to hold onto your money a little bit longer.

I always put a month in advance, just in case there is any problems.

i didn't use that company but when i ordered i told them my true departure date... but asked them if thy could send the tickets out asap as we wouldn't be around for a while, the very next day my tickets were on the doorstep.... that was with mercurytravel

I think it's just so they can make sure the tickets you order are valid for your travel dates. For instance this year the Flextickets change to include Aquatica on March 1st, so if you were going after that you'd need the new tickets.

I have ordered from them twice, and the tickets came fine, I always put down that we are travelling in the next 4 weeks just so they send them out straight away.

Dont think it matters too much to them when you travel i think its just so the tickets are ok etc, ive always got my tickets within a week whether im travelling in a few weeks or whether my travel date is months in advance , They dont send them any quicker unless you were an emergency and travelling in the next couple of weeks.

after being caught out with this one on a previous occasion :angry: i would always put my departure date at least a month earlier than the true date of travel :omg:

Having been caught out in the past I now always put a date at least one month in advance of my departure date. Most companies charge your debit/credit card immediately anyway so for peace of mind I would rather have the tickets in my hot little hand

we are also going in june and they only tickets we really need to book is discovery cove and we will book disney and universal later on.

i ordered my seaworld tix from this company last week and i put in my real DD (aug 08) and they arrived within 3 days

We usually order in March/ April time for December and tell them we are going in August. Some firms take your money and keep hold of them till nearer the time you go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Florida Tix send you them with in 7 days of ordering them. Give them a go.

so do orlando ticket deals, when i ordered in january told them i was going in april, which i am, had the tickets within 5 days.
