Beaches

Whilst in Orlando I would love to take my kids to the beach for the day. I am wondering which beaches people think are the best for visiting?

Ideally sandy and swimming if possible.

I love clearwater, great for the kids, alot to do as well. We always go out on a boat trip, the thriller boat ride.
The sand is pure white, sea great, lovely and warm.
Ive been to cocoa beach, not the best in my opinion. some areas not that good.

We travelled down to Clearwater last year for the day and while we found it a little rushed, we thought it was unreal. We will probably plan an overnight or maybe two the next time we go.

We've been to Daytona before and are going again with DS (aged 4) this year for a night or two, just solely for him to play on a beach in the sun sun sun. Its not that bad of a drive and plenty of other things to do there.

If we go for the day we always go to Cocoa Beach.If you drive past Ron Jons on your left you will come to a Wendys on your right , facing this is a car park and entrance to the beach, there is a changing area and showers and bar BQ area.The sand here is fantastic and we always have a brilliant time

The Gulf Coast beaches are beautiful, far nicer than the Atlantic side. St. Pete`s is one of our favourites. John`s Pass and Madeira Beach are also really nice.
