Can anybody please advise i have been told you can eat at a restuarant around the lake in epcot and just before the fire works they stop serving. so you can go out on the patio area and watch the fire works then go back in and have desert, but they can not remember which restaurant they eat in can any please advise if it is only the one place or a few to choose from as i would like to make a reservation. thanks in advance :thumb:

I don't know if thats the case, but we have booked the rose and crown for about an hour before the fireworks. We tried to get a patio table but were told that you get what ever becomes available first.

Hope this helps

We ate at the Rose and Crown and were lucky enough to sit on the patio and it is worth it, but as Nicknoonoo says it is pot luck where you end up being seated.

Yes it definately is pot luck. We booked for last Sept but didn't manage to get a patio table. 10 minutes before the fireworks started we were served our desserts. We asked if we could take them outside to eat whilst watching the fireworks. Unfortunately thats not allowed, not sure why.:confused2

So we ate them quickly and managed to get outside just as they were starting. There was a table free right on the edge so we had a fantastic view.:thumbs-up

I too would be interested to know if there is a restaurant with a good view of the fireworks display. It will be our Sons 10th Birthday when we visit in June and we plan to spend the day at Epcot. We will be celebrating with a meal followed by a Birthday cake. To finish of with a really good view of the fireworks really would make his day so please guys let me know if anyone knows of a good spot! :wavey:

The only one actually on the lake is the Rose and Crown. We have always booked a 7:30ish ADR and usually get seated shortly thereafter. Only once did we not manage to get a seat out on the patio but it didn't matter as there is actually a viewing gallery. You know when Illuminations is about to begin so if you know your food is going to turn up just ask them to hold it off for 10 more minutes, we never had a problem with this.

Just so you know, the patio has a bit that has a restricted view so if you are seated there and can't get down to the bottom part of the patio it is actually better to go to the viewing gallery.
