Hello

12 years ago I did a boat trip through the everglades. We saw monkeys and gators and lots of other wildlife. My step mum said we booked it through Virgin when they booked the flights... does anyone know how to book a trip similar to this? Or where to look etc?

Thanks
Laura

We would highly recommend Speedy Johnsons. We've tried three different Everglades airboat rides and all preferred this one. We've done the Eco one, which was very interesting too.

Speedy's is more 'touristy' - maybe it was the time of year, but we didn't see anything on the Eco one, but on Speedy's we saw so many things we lost count - gators, raccoons, wild pigs, ostrich (yes, honestly) and a dolphin which is famous around there. I've got this amazing photo of the dolphin in the Everglades brackish water.

An airboat ride on the Everglades is unmissable IMHO - whichever one you take.

I'm plucking up the courage to go kayaking this year . . . just remember how close to the boat the gators came, that's all :omg:

i'm planning a stay in Naples after the parks and want to spend a day in the Everglades.

The kayaking idea sounds great - please could Mrs Dazzle post a link to the kayaking website she's planning to use?

Cheers.
