Hi,

After much. much surfing on the DIBB board, I have finally put my itinerary together for our May 2008 trip. Trust me, when I say hours and hours of planning have gone into this - so I hope I have not made any glaring mistakes!!!

Here goes.....

The cast:
Me (Mark), 36 - Loves the USA and loves theme parks.
DF (Maria), 30 (but dont tell her I told you!) - hates theme parks - so this should be interesting!!! But does love Disney, so I am hoping she gets some of the magic.
DS (James), 8 - Says he's an EMO at 8 years old! Will do most things - my thrill ride partner.
DD (Ella), 2.5 - If madam wants it, madam will get it or we'll all know about it!

DM (Jackie), 60 - Won't do rides, but is more than happy to go with the flow and see the family enjoy themselves.
DSF (Paul), Ummm 65 ish (Can't remember!) - Two things he wants out of the holiday - Airboat ride and Hooters (I am more than happy to accomodate both, especially number 2!).

The proposed itinerary:
I have tried to build in a rest day or 'easier' day every 3rd day, because I had to think about the olds and also allow the others to recharge their batteries. But I have included shopping trips and water parks as rest activities

Day 0 - (13/05/08)
Taxi to Gatwick (Paid for by Mum - thanks!).
Twilight Check In.
Stay At Travelodge.

Day 1 - (14/05/08)
Fly LGW - MCO on the Virgin 12.45 plane.
Have a row with the nice people at Alamo about upgrades.
Check in at the Fairfield In (LBV).

Day 2 - (15/05/08)
Magic Kingdom (Early start - due to time difference - I know its EMH and will be busy but my fiancee is refusing to go anywhere else until she has seen the castle!!!).
Leave early PM to return to hotel and chill out there.
Intending to eat ourselves silly at Bahama Breeze tonight.

Day 3 - (16/05/08)
Check out of the Fairfield.
AM - Epcot (ADR booked at Garden Grill for Lunch).
PM - Move to Time share apartments at Orange Lake.

Day 4 - (17/05/08)
Rest Day (Yeh right!)
AM - Gonna hit a Walmart for provisions for the apartment and might be tempted to pick up a few other bits.
PM - Downtown Disney - More shopping and eating (I fancy trying Earl Of Sandwich for lunch).

Day 5 - (18/05/08)
Animal Kingdom (ADR booked for Donald Safari Breakfast).

Day 6 - (19/05/08)
Late Start then Epcot till closing (including Illuminations).
ADR booked at Coral Reef.

Day 7 - (20/05/08)
Rest (ish) Day
Another late start then Downtown Disney again and Disney Quest.
Will try the Cheesecake Factory while in there.

Day 8 - (21/05/08)
Busch Gardens.

Day 9 - (22/05/08)
Disney Studios.
ADR booked at H&V for Fantasmic seating.

Day 10 - (23/05/08)
Blizzard Beach Or Typhoon Lagoon.
ADR booked for dinner at Chef Mickey's (19:45).
(After that will try to make it to MK for Wishes and Spectromagic).

Day 11 - (24/05/08)
Another Rest Day :(
AM - Boggy Creek Airboats (East Side).
PM - Shopping.
Hooters for Dinner (HURRAH!!!).

Day 12 - (25/05/08)
Check in at RPR - Universal for our overnight stay.
Universal Studios (FOTL Style!).
Eating at Bubba Gumps that night.

Day 13 - (26/05/08)
Islands Of Adventure (FOTL Style!).

Day 14 - (27/05/08)
Aquatica.

Day 15 - (28/05/08)
Magic Kingdom all day (intending to stay for Wishes and Spectromagic).
ADR booked at Crystal Palace for Breakfast.
ADR booked at Ohana for Dinner.

Day 16 - (29/05/08)
Seaworld.
Dine With Shamu booked.

Day 17 - (30/05/08)
DTD Check in with Virgin.
Then shopping at Mall Of Millenia and probably another visit to Cheesecake Factory (Love this place).
Then off to airport and fly back home (19:40).

I have also been building up a list of restaurants from reports and recommendations
I have seen on the DIBB, to try while out there, they are:

Sweet Tomatoes
Bahama Breeze
Outback Steakhouse
Fuddruckers (Festival Bay)

Sounds fab. Not stalking you or anything but we fly on 17th May and our first three days are almost identical. Great minds think alike?!

We have Donalds safari breakfast booked on 18th May and spending the day at AK.
On the 19th we're at Epcot all day with a ADR at Coral Reef (earlier than yours tho from looking at the ADR post)
Then on 20th we're at DTD and Disneyquest to hit the Cheesecake factory for lunch.

See you all there. :wavey:

Not sure, my Mum sorted out the timeshare accommodation (as its hers). Might be the West Village (that's where we stayed last time). They are supposed to be the oldest ones, but they were still very nice.

What about you, did I read that you stay or are staying near the new waterpark?
