Have checked recent posts and I couldn't find one on here about this so thought I would do one.

Disney have introduced a new dining plan for 2008 called Disney Deluxe Dining Plan. This is priced at £36.99 per night for adults and £10.99 per night for a child.

In brief this includes the equivalent of 3 table service credits per day plus 2 snacks and a refillable mug for use at your resort throughout your stay.

So for each meal you are entitled to:

Breakfast
This meal includes a Traditional Resort breakfast or Disney Character Breakfast available at participating restaurants located within the Walt Disney World® Resort. For each breakfast, choose one of the following:

Juice, main course and single-serving non-alcoholic beverage
OR
Full breakfast buffet

Lunch
This meal is available at participating Table Service or Quick Service restaurant locations throughout the Walt Disney World® Resort (excluding Victoria & Albert's). For each lunch, choose one of the following:

Appetizer, main course, dessert and single-serving, non-alcoholic beverage
OR
Combo meal (main course, side dish and non-alcoholic beverage)
OR
Full lunch buffet

Dinner
This meal is available at participating Table Service or Quick Service restaurant locations throughout the Walt Disney World® Resort (excluding Victoria & Albert's). For each dinner, choose one of the following:

Appetizer, main course, dessert and single-serving, non-alcoholic beverage
OR
Combo meal (main course, side dish and non-alcoholic beverage)
OR
Full dinner buffet
OR
A Disney Dinner Show (either Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show at Disney's Polynesian Resort, Mickey's Backyard BBQ or Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground).

So everyday of your stay you could have a character breakfast, a sit down lunch and an expensive dinner at a Signature restaurant all for the bargain price of £36.99 a night!!

Unfortunately as with the original dining plan, tip is no longer included and the snack choice is now quite limited.

To me this sounds like a lot of food and I am a person who loves to eat at Disney especially in the signature restaurants. For example I have looked at my forthcoming trip and costed it and I reckon buying the plan will cost me the same as just paying for the meals individually as I wouldn't be using all my credits plus I have the DDE card, so I shall leave it up to individuals to decide whether they think its worth it!

Hope this helps!! :)

I think its too much food too. I couldn't face doing that everyday of my holiday.

It works out really good value for money if you can make the most of it though.

Gosh I would not fit on the rides if I ate that every day.

I know that's what I thought - you'd have no time to see any of the attractions!! Plus I think I would put on about 4 stone!!

I think it would be good if they introduced a plan in between this one and the basic one - maybe with 2 table service credits a day. Then I think it might be worth it.

I really enjoyed using the dining plan last year but with all the changes this year I just don't think it's worth it anymore sadly. Just booked my ADRs for my July trip and the girl tried to sell me the dining plan but I told her why i thought it was no longer worth it so maybe they might get the message and change it back to the 2007 plan.

There have been a few threads about it, it doesn't seem to be as popular as the basic dining plan.

That would be far too much food for me, the only way I'd ever do DDP was if it was free anyway so I don't think I'll ever be doing this. Plus you'd have to make so many ADRs, it would really tie you down during your holiday, and I don't think I could fully enjoy myself if I had to deal with that.

I am doing the other DDP soon and think that the deluxe one would be way too much food for anyone and like others have said it would restrict your whole holiday and make it all about ADRs and fitting all those meals in.
I would imagine this would be really stressful too. Read on other American sites that a lot of them are taking it up so maybe its cheaper? As £37 a day is expensive.:omg:

I really liked the look of this plan as it would allow us to have a table service breakfast and signature meal each day. After some calculations though it did not seem worth it as we wouldn't really bother with the snacks or refillable mug, so the costs worked out about the same.

It does seem alot - food and money....

We have done the DDP before and there was alot of food then. The worst thing for us is that if we go next year (hopefully ;) ) - our 2 kids will be 12 and 10. 4 adult DDP - that's alot of £. I would have to sit down and work everything out before we book.

Let the planning begin  ....

we have booked for august-with free ddp-we went last year thought it was brilliant-but this year you have to give a tip-i wish they would have taken something else of you because although i don,t leaving a tip i think it always makes me uncomfatable on what to leave-and last year we did,nt have to carry any money around-just charged everything to our room

If you stayed in a hotel for one night could you buy this for the one night?

You could then have a snack for lunch after checking in, a signature dinner, a character breakfast and a snack for later that day and another table service to fit in somewhere as well!
Would this be allowed?
Hypothetically speaking of course.

You'd have to buy a park ticket for the duration of your stay also as it all has to be bought as part of a package.
