Anyone been to the Holyland exprience? As regular church goers over here (At the freer end of things) we wondered if is good or is it awful. You really can't tell from the website. It looks a bit tacky but it had some of the same people who worked on Islands of adventures work on it, so it can't be that bad can it?

I haven't been myself but know people who have and they did it strictly as a church outing and only went for a couple of hours. It was recently sold and they changed the look of the place (it used to be very concealed from the motorway) and have decorated the grounds but I don't believe any other changes were made.
The comments I heard about it is that it was ok but there really isn't much to it and the admission was a lot. It was also followed up with understanding the price would be higher because they don't get a lot of traffic and have to charge what they do.
If you were planning a shopping trip to the Millenia Mall I would suggest you combine Holy Land with it. They are about 5-10 minutes apart and Holy Land wouldn't take more than 1-1/2 hour - 2 hours. I would also suggest that you plan to eat somewhere other than at the experience because I understand there isn't a lot on offer and the prices are high.
Having just looked at your countdown I would also suggest that you keep an eye on it and make sure that it is still open in 2010. There have been a lot of rumors of it not surviving because they simply don't get enough visitors.
I will post something if I hear anything. I pass it every day on my way to work.
