Just wondered if Disney or Universal ever check the ages of children. We are hoping to take our niece and nephew either next year or 2010 (depending on money), and our nephew will be just 12 in 2010 and wondered if we would get away with getting him a child ticket instead of an adult as the child's tickets are from ages 2 - 11 (which I think is stupid)

i dont think you will get away with that as the child tickets are from 3-9 I think, so age 10 will be an adult ticket which is very unfair

Unless he is very small I dont think you could get away with it. The tickets are for under 9. :wavey: Debbie

child tickets can only be used for kids age 3-9 , once the child is 10 you have to buy and adult ticket, thats what happend first time we took our son.
Yep, 9 is the cut-off date - guess who's twins are 9 :) but I don't think there's much difference between an adult and a child ticket anyway.

My children are 10 & 11 so we will have pay adult prices for them. We did consider child tickets for my son, but it's not worth it as there is not much of a price difference. I definitely don't think you would get away with it for a twelve year old. :wavey:

Sorry I thought the child tickets were up to 11, shows how much I look. I have never had to look at child tickets before. Looks like I will not get away with it. My niece will be just 9 so that will be okay

It's not worth trying to get a ticket for a kid over 10, unless the kid looks very , very young. My 3 year old looks about 5 now, so we'd have no chance!!! But I wouldn't do it anyway.
