Hi Guys,
I'm currently researching the best combinations of tickets for non-disney parks for 4 adults. I have come up with 2 options:
1. Discovery Cove Ultimate Adventure (swim with dolphins + Seaworld, Busch Gardens and Aquatica for 14 days) = £175 x 4 = £700
Plus Universal 2 Day/2 Park ticket (Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure for any 3 visits in 14 days) = £59 x 4 = £236.
Total for this option = £936.
2. Orlando Flexticket 2008 (unlimited admission for 14 days to Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Aquatica, Wet & Wild, Seaworld and Busch Gardens) = £139 x 4 = £556
Total for this option = £556
So, my question is:
If I am happy that both options allow enough visits to each park isn't Option 1 allowing me to go to Discovery Cove for just an extra £380 (£936 - £556) by sacrificing a visit to Wet and Wild?
Can you see what I'm trying to say?
Am I missing something?

Attraction ticket direct I see :D
I think your logic is OK.
In total you save (4x £149 for the DC swim) - £380 = £216 saving
For missing out W&W, well worth it in my opinion
Option 1 seems fine.
I thought when Aquatica opened, Wet and Wild was supposed to close?

There's a cheaper option for US/IOA - a 7 day ticket for $89 ;)

With option 1 the 7 day unlimited admission ticket from here (http://secure.universalstudios.com/webstore/shop/ViewItems.aspx?Merchant=UOMainOnline&CategoryGroupExternalID=UOMain&CategoryExternalID=UOTPTLive) could save you another £40 or so and give you extra days at the Universal parks if you could use them within 7 days.

the only thing I can see is that you would'nt have 14 day unlimited access to US or IOA.
Good info., I am considering what tixs to purchase as well. Like the idea of DC for a 'good' price but do not want wet n wild or Busch Gardens but its still looks good.

Hi if you bought DC ultimate tickets from americanattractions.co.uk you would save a bit more as £163 per ticket = £652, but if you spend over £400 they knock another £5 off =£647 = so only £161.75 per ticket. This is what we have done as every little saving helps towards more spends when you are ther.

Hi everyone and thank you for your replies.
My figures are from ATD, we used them last time, but you are right I must shop around a bit to get the best prices possible.
I only need 2 days at Universal because we are going to stay on-site for one night to get FOL passes for 2 days.
Discovery Cove for under £100 each sounds so much better than £175!
I just need to fit everything in now. At least we're going for 3 weeks so we have a lot of days to play with.

Although you only need 2 days at Universal, lastminute.com are doing a 7 day 2 park pass for only £48.50 so you can just use the days you want but it will still work out cheaper than the 2 day pass anyway ;)

wet and wild is rumoured to be closing in 2009 at end of summer as landowner wants too much for it but universal have kept space for a water park and all of wet and wilds recents upgrades have been above ground (easy to move) or refurbs of old rides
