Can you add the Dining Plan on Check-in???

We are booked with Virgin and they are charging a big % more than the official prices for both Tickets and the Dining Plan, so it would be far cheaper for us to add it at check-in, if this is permitted...........

As far as I know this is not allowed - wish it was.

I am sure you can't add it at check in ( I seem to think it has to be done 24 hours before arrival). Can you not just ring Disney up and add it direct though them? Or with the changes they have done to it this year maybe you should buy an annual pass and then get a dde card instead?
