Last year it took us just over one hour and a half in the Hummer. I was driving quite hard though and at 15 MPG in the Hummer it did cost a wee bit. But sure, you're only on holiday once a year and we like to make the most of it. We had a great day on the beach and it was well worth it.

Hi ali and boyz
we go to clearwater every time we go to florida, I love it (we all do), we have been on many dolphin watch tours, and our favourite one is with the THRILLER BOAT RIDE, it is a power boat, it holds 45 people and they even let you drive it.The tour lasts about 1 1/2 hours, last time we went, we had a family of dolphins jumping at the back of the boat, they love the waves. The baby dolphin brought tears to our eyes, it was magical. There is alot to do, especially for all the family. It takes us 1/2 hours to get to clearwater, it is very easy to get there.

Toni did you notice if wheelchairs are allowed / can get on the boats or do you happen to have a link or website. our DS is in a wheelchair but I think he would love the experience and it would be a bit different for us to

Hi
I dont think wheelchairs are allowed, but it is easy access onto the power boat. I will say it is very fast, 70mph. It is a great experience, so if you could do it, it would be great. I dont know if this link will work, but he goes, if it doesnt go onto google and put in the thriller power boat, clearwater beach. www.realthriller.com, any other questions I will try and answer

We went to clearwater 2 years ago. It takes about an hour and a half to get to but well worth it. We went on a Dolphin boat trip which we loved. It was great to see dolphins out in the ocean as they should be. Highly recommend it.
