I just contacted Dining reservations to change a previously booked time.
I wanted to change Tutto Italia as i have read that it will be shutting again in the spring.
Itried to make a reservation for Beaches and Cream Soda shop and was told they did not do reservations for this restaurant.
I told the operator that it was on the DDP list and that as far as i was concerned i could book it.
She still said no
I asked why it was on the DDP list if you could not book it and still got a no.

Another thing that is bugging me is that Disney have Restaurants on the DDP that they are taking reservations for that are shutting in the near future.
Concourse Steakhouse comes to mind.
We have also booked WolfgangPuck cafe and have noticed that some food is subject to surcharge.
Does anyone have any further info

You can not make reservations for beaches and cream. You will need to walk up on the day and wait if it's busy.

Concourse Steakhouse is shutting in May, maybe that is why they wouldn't let you book.

Why is Tutto shutting? It has not been open that long?
I was going to book this on my ADR's and now I'm confused

There are several restaurants on the DDP that you cannot make an ADR for - Beaches and Cream, ESPN, Big River Grille etc.

You can make a reservation for Big River Grill just not through disney you have to contact them direct as they are an independant outlet.

Can you do a link for this site please?

Also DS will be devastated as he likes Italian food  . Is there another Italian restaurant on Disney we can try?

Thanks

I had it booked as well but as it was the last night of our trip we did not want to find it had shut so have moved to the San Angel Inn in Mexico and fingers crossed that will be open.

I believe that Tony Romas Town Plaza Restaurant which is themed around Lady and the Tramp in MK is italian.

Have a look at restaurant reviews on this site and you may find more

Thanks for that link - disappointed now as it is also being renamed and not reopening until "the fall"
Back to the drawing board for my ADR there then :(

There's Mama Melrose at Hollywood Studios, we had a fantastic meal there on our last visit, as part of the Fantasmic Dinner Package. My Fiancee says it's the best steak she's ever had.

when we ate there in december i asked a cm when they would close for a refurb (as i had heard it was planned for this year) but she said she hadn't heard anything at that time. I have had a look on all ears and it is not mentioned yet so is this definate or just a rumour cos I have booked for april with no mention of closure

You cannot book an ADR for Beaches & Cream, you have to get a pager and wait.

It is difficult to tell what is really going on at times.

I would probably left the Reservation as it was were it not the last night of our trip but we do not want a dissapointment on the last night so have changed.
Mouseplanet seems to be well informed and from what i have heard reliable in its info.

Its probably Disney who keep changing things all the time.

I suppose anything we book has a chance of not being there when you go but we book to guarantee things and hope all goes well
