I want to take my daughter to a character meal. She is just 10 and therefore should have to pay the adult price although there is no way she will eat an adult meal. Anyone else had this problem?

Hi :wavey:

Our DS was 10 last year and we had to pay adult price (he does eat lots though).

When we booked an ADR they did ask how old he was, so when we were presented with the bill it did state 3 x adults.

I would imagine that you could get away with it if you tell a white lie

Everyone with a 10 year old will have the same problem. I suppose there must be 10 year olds who can eat an adult meal, so the line has to be drawn somewhere. It's the same with park tickets. We have a disabled child who can't do many of the rides yet he still pays adult price. He has difficulty eating but still pays for adult meals.

Not really much you can do, there's got to be a cut off somewhere, like with park ticket costs.

I'm sure they will do your a kids chickn nuggets type meal if needed but you will have to pay the adult price. Buffets would be the best bet for lots of choice.

My daughter is 11 and will probably prefer a kids meal to the adult option most of the time. I'm sure they'll let her have the kids meal and I'll just pay the adult price.

My 2 DD 12 13 just asked for somthing off of the kids menu when we did the princess dining at Epcot ,they had pizza same as my DD 7 and we paid the adult price ,It is a lot of money and to be honest the food at the princess dining wasnt really our thing, but it was worth the hole $120 dollars to see the look on my dd7 face

I don't think there's any getting out of paying the adult price, but if your daughter is a fussy eater and would normally go for the kids menu, the buffet type meals would probably be best. That way she can help herself to whatever she wants, but I would guess that the CMs would be more than accomodating if you asked for a kids meal in a table service restaurant.

Sounds good, i read some bad reviews, and was concerened if it would be good?? It looked like a lot of people were comparing it to eating in cinderella's castle, which i would of liked to book but had no chance as i didn't know about needing to book 180 days in advance for it. I saw this as being next best thing for my 6year old that is really into Disney Princess at the moment.

Oh go for it for sure ,My daughter was delighted ,i have never seen her so excited and it was the highlight of our holiday.
We were lucky to have all her favourites ,Cinderella ,sleeping Beauty ,Ariel,Jasmine and Belle. They all spent a couple of minutes at our table and we got some lovely photos.
The food as I said was not our cup of tea although there is a nice starter buffet which we all enjoyed,$120 for 5 of us
