Why is it that the US makes better Peanut Butter than us? And why do they offer such a plethora of peanut butter realted items, all of which are delicious, and yet none of which are sold over here apart from in specialist US candy stores?

Nutter butters? Extra crunchy skippy? Smuckers Goober? Butterfingers? Peanut Butter MandMs?

Is anyone else as much of a peanut butter lover as me?

I like our peanut butter and it HAS to be crunchy - not really a fan of US smooth peanut butter in any guise - it's too sweet! (like most things over there!)

As a bit of a gym freak, I can tell you that peanut butter on toast in the morning is actually a very nutritious breakfast that will set you up for the day - full of low release energy.

Not so sure if the choccy bars are the same though!

I love Smuckers Goober, the jar of combined peanut butter and grape jelly. Bought some in Selfridges, well worth 6 quid a jar, beautiful stuff.

Eugh!! I just shivered reading the title of this thread - peanut butter is an all time no no for me, I can't even stand the smell, although I love salted peanuts!! This debate is a bit like the Bovril / Marmite one - you either love or hate it. Just going off for a glass of water now as just thinking about peanut butter has made my mouth dry up!!

You can pick up peanut butter cups in most supermarkets and woolworths now days, along with the nutrageous bars they are becoming more common place.

I still can't work out why the delicious buuter fingers aren't available though!

On Saturday I purchased a bar in cyber candy in London, sadly I have forgotten the name, but it came in 2 pieces like a bounty, each bar having peanut butter, raisins and mini pretzels covered in chocolate.

Delicious!

Wish they did peanut butter M&M's here, although my hips are pleased they don't.

I love these and can eat a whole big bag to myself in a night when on holiday. No wonder I put 9lbs in weight on in the 2 weeks we were there before Xmas last year.

Peanut butter cookies are also divine from Goodings.

We buy the tubs of fresh peanut butter from Publix when we're in Florida. It's really lovely and not as dry as some of the jar ones. BIL is always tempted to bring a few tubs home.

You dont like their tea or their chocolate or cereal yet many here rave about Goober, Reece's Peanut Butter Cups and Nutter Butters.

I do love peanut butter, though. Also, Cashew butter and almond butter.

Woolies used to sell Butterfingers (complete with Bart Simpson on the packet), but unsure if they still do - they are great though.
As mentioned Woolies & Asda also stock Reeces PB cups and my local Baker stocks Hershey Cookies & Cream bars...MMmmmmm
