we had a couple of great meals there last October, fantastic server, and good food.
Ive seen a lot of mixed reviews on this one. We had a dreadful experience there in August 2006. It isnt for us Im afraid. I dont think there was anything I liked about it except the bread and butter pudding which was delicious.

We went last August and for us it was the worst meal of the holiday - you just didn't get very much and what you did get was at inflated prices.
All 4 of us said we would not go again.

We went there in August, and it was one of the best meals :D Fantastic food, great environment, lovely staff.
However, I have read so many mixed reviews on here about Raglan Road, that I would tell you to avoid it for your wedding meal. I would hate to reccommend it and then have it ruined

I went there a couple of times in 06' once in the daytime when it
was quiet and once in the evening when they had entertainment
and it was very loud but enjoyable.
Loved the food though thought it was all delicious :D

It's only a personal opinion (so don't shoot me down :pgig: ) but I don't think Raglan Road is the right choice for a wedding meal.
In terms of food quality, it's not bad but the portions are very small. It is the first time ever in Orlando I have had a main and dessert and still wanted something afterwards. If I was you I would take a look at the food picture thread on here, that will give you a good idea of portion size.
I also think you can probably do better than an Irish Bar for a wedding meal, especially with all the various options available for you in Walt Disney World!!!
As I said, just my opinion.

We went last August and really enjoyed it, but as others have said it seems to be hit and miss so perhaps you should try a safer bet for a wedding meal.

That was the main reason we did not like it - we ended up in McDonalds opposite getting a McFlurry for the kids.

Same for us. The portions were minute, the music was banshee style, the server rude, air con caput - we had it all that night! :(
I know others who had a great time, but with its hit and miss reputation, I would play safe.

I went in there and soon regretted it. Drained my bud and left quickly. If I want cheap Irish imitation pubs there are plenty to choose from in the Uk after all.....I only went in because it was quiet and I know why. It stunk of vomit.

I have to agree. There is a time and a place for an Irish bar (mainly in Ireland of course) but I don't see the appeal of going to somewhere like this when you are in WDW. It was worth one visit to sample the food and take a look around, but I doubt we'll ever return.
It fascinates me how us Brits still believe we have to have home comforts when on holiday. The hotels in Orlando have picked up on this and now you see Dairy Milks and Galaxys in the chocolate section of most hotel delis. For me, a Milky Way in the US is a Mars Bar. That is how it should remain.
I sound like a right old git.

I don't think the Irish Bar is there because 'Brits want home comforts', i think it's there because Disney is full of reproductions of bars/restaurants from around the world.
We enjoyed our meal there, the kids had shepherds pie and it wasn't a small portion at all. I had an enormous pie, but what you don't get is any side orders at all.
Our desserts were also fairly large, and tasty, but everything was a little heavy and I felt quite uncomfortably full afterwards.
I wouldn't recommend it for a wedding party, as I just think you could find somewhere with a nicer atmosphere, but it is worth a visit especially if you like shepherds pie.

We went for my DH birthday in May 07, we had a great meal!
The server was polite and helpful, the live music was great, we had a booth close to the entrance, so maybe we were away from the noise, but it certainly didn't feel that way..
We had the kids and in-laws with us, and we all agreed it was the best meal of the holiday.
It is quite expensive but we didn't think the portions were small, we had 3 courses and made a great night of it!!

i thought the food at raglan road was excellent and the portion sizes large(and i can eat).we couldnt manage a pudding.we ate outside as the wait was quicker,i loved the atmosphere but dh wasnt impressed as smoking was allowed and he is a typical ex smoker  .im sure if the restaurant knew that it was a wedding party they would go out of there way to make it special.if i was to have a wedding at disney i would choose the calafornia grill to coincide with wishes.  mo.
Just to show you how tiny dd's portion of fish and chips were. (mind you this was 2006 and things may have changed) This was her whole entree!

She was starving after. Our portions were no bigger. Having seen some pics since I think things have changed a lot.

We visited Raglan Road twice on our last trip - July 07, and we loved it both times. Once for lunch and once for dinner. There was an entertainer for the kids in the evening - making balloon models. Food was excellent........ :thumbs-up

The portions were no bigger in Aug 07. The boys ordered fish and chips and we told them to order children's prtions as in the US, childrens portions are more than big enouygh for them (are at all other restaurants) but left Ragalan Road starving.

Called in on the last day of our trip last Summer. To say the least, and I'm an Irishmann, it was very disappointing. I would not be going back again.
