I like the look of this steak restaurant at the HRH - I was wondering if anyone on the Dibb has eaten there, who could review it?

We've eaten there twice - in 2004 and 2006.

It is probably the most expensive eatery we have ever been in - but the food was undeniably great. In 2004 we felt that the service was a little over-the-top. Every time one of us took a sip of wine a waiter would appear and re-fill our glasses. Another waited hovered just behind me most of the time we were eating. To be honest, I found it a bit disconcerting.

In 2006, we felt that the service had settled down a bit. Still attentive, but nowhere near as OTT as it had been in 2004. Portion sizes are massive. I believe the fillet steaks were 16oz. But beware that the prices shown do not include ANY vegetables. If you want chips they are extra. Mushrooms sir? Certainly that $6 extra. etc. etc.

DW and I both had fillet steaks with chips and another veg, we had desserts, and DW had a glass of wine (I had a beer) and our bill was almost $200.

Eureka!!!! I was giving up hope of getting any answers! Thank you lefthanded. Have you eaten at Yachtman's Steakhouse in Disney? Is it comparable?
