Hi
My DH & DS want to play golf at least twice this year, and want to play on a Disney course.
Does anyone have suggestions as to which courses are the best?
They have both played in the past, and have a reasonable knowledge of the game, but are not experts. ;)
Also, does anyone know if you can book this at the 90 day plus 10 stage, or do we have to wait until 90 days. (We are staying on site).
Thanks
dh plays every time we go. his fav courses are osprey ridge and magnolia. there are 4 18 hole disney courses now. lake buena vista is supposed to be the easiest, i think magnolia is the one with the mickey shaped bunker (dh is at work but i'll check with him later). i wouldn't worry about booking more than 90 days in advance dh normally books about 2 months before and has always had the times he wants

Yes magnolia is the one with the famous Mickey shaed Bunker on the 6th hole I think
not played it but hoping to this year, there are many other courses that offer better value for money but its just to say you have played the Disney course

I would play the Magnolia to say ive done a Disney course, then play some off site courses like Falcons Fire that are close to Disney
There are lots that are just as good, if not better and much better value for money.

Falcolns fire is a great course, but is also always one of the most expensive

Osprey Ridge and the other one out there, I think Eagle Pines are better courses but Magnolia and the Palm are the one use on the PGA Tour so everyone wants to play those. All OK in my opinion with LBV just getting the vote for the worst out of the 4.
If you really want a great day out on the course, stay a night at Bay Hill. Other half can enjoy the spa while you play in Arnold Plamers back yard. Absolutely superb.

:cool2: Hi if you want to play around of golf but do not want to pay the
earth for a round. Try Polo Park Golf course on the us27.
I played there this year with my grandsons. $28 for a round plus
cart and golf clubs. There are two courses play the one oposite
the petrol station.

Magnolia is the course they use for the PGA tournament in October (sorry, I've forgotten the actual name of the tournament).
And, yes, I echo Bay Hill, my son played there in Sept 06 having 'earned' a 'free' round working as a volunteer at the Bay Hill Invitational in March 06.

I played Lake Buena Vista course at Disney which is fantastic and they do great deals for certain tee times. We paid $29 a round including cart which was a fantastic deal. We did tee off in 100 degree heat though!

I played at Palm last year and it was amazing, easily one of the best courses i have ever played on! The 18th was voted the one of the top 5 hardest holes on the PGA too. Prices, if your staying in a Disney hotel its a bargain to play there! I paid, including club hire $159 for a round. the clubs were $110, so $49 for a round on a PGA course we couldn't loose!! If you go to the golf part of the site it will give you all the rates if your staying on site. I would highly recommend Palm though!!!
