Regal Palms is on the 27 next door to Highland Reserves and close to Sand Mine Road /Berry Town Centre. Can't help with the other part of your questions as I haven't stayed there.

Hi we stayed in Regal Palms last December, yes there is transport to disney, can't remember now if u have to pay for it, but I suspect not. It took us about 15 minutes drive down the 192 to get to the Disney area, just to give you some idea. We loved the resort and are due to return in December.
Hope you enjoy it too! :d:

We stayed there last year too. We had a town house and it was new and gorgeous. We wished we had our own pool, but we used the resort pool which was very nice and clean and they provide pool towels. The pool is gated so you need your key to get in. It also has a lazy river which is not as lazy as the Disney waterpark ones... it is quite a strong current so if you have littl'uns you may want to put arm bands on them.
The restuarant they have there does a delish roast rib of beef... think it's on a friday night... but beware the cost of the drinks.. it will double your meal bill :(

Anything we needed we rang the front desk and it was sorted straight away. Each morning leave your trash bags tied up on the front lawn, they will get collected.

Hello

I can vouch 100% for Regal Palms, am here at the moment.. The Resort is very well maintained, the pool complex lovely..

You get the best of both worlds here.. One word of advise, check the location of accomodation as some of the houses at the back of the resort are a little more than walking distance!! I myself like to stroll to the pool and like that I can stroll also to the bar & Restaurant, no arguments over whose gonna drive..

Our townhouse was just around the corner from the pool complex and the restaurant, so it was just a short stroll, lovely! I thought that I would miss having a pool, but it was really nice to sit by the resort pool, with a drink, surfing the internet, and then strolling up to the complex for lunch.....bliss, and in December we practically had the pool to ourselves some days......There is a lot of building work going on, but it honestly did not intrude in any way!!
Tip, get your inflatables blown up at the towel hire place!! They have a tyre pumping thing to save your lungs!!

We stayed there a couple of years ago - a lovely resort and very good value for money :thumbs-up

We stayed in a private townhouse too (not Simon's, but another UK owner)...we had stayed at Disney's PORS the trip before and we thought that this place was miles better !!
It is only about 20 mins from the WDW gate using the Sherbeth Rd short cut.
We also liked its close promixity to the Publix, and the fact that there is a huge Walmart just 10 mins drive up the U27. :tounge:

The only thing I would be wary of, is that you don't get allocated a property that runs alongside the Sand Mine Road itself (the road you take to access the resort)...as its name suggests this is a quarry road, with some very heavy and very dusty traffic. I can't imagine you being able to sit outside these properties with any degree of comfort, or even be able to open your windows :( ).

PS If you are looking for an up market version of Regal Palms and its facilities, (but with an up market price tag though !) you really should take a look at Reunion Resort at Championsgate ........TRUELY FANTASTIC !
