Whats the best way to get on this ride with the least waiting bearing in mind Test Track needs to be done as well.

Your probably getting to Epcot before opening and heading straight for Soarin' and grabbing a fastpass, and then head straight to Test Track. Obviously returning to Soarin' when your time is up. Or you could just go on them seperate days, if the queues are really bad.

Grab a fastpass for Soarin and do single rider at Test Track.

I agree with the above - get there as soon as gates open, head straight over to Soarin' and get a fastpass and then back to Test Track. If the queues are long do single rider, otherwise you should be fine :)
Or if there is a lot of you, nominate one person to dash over to Soarin' with all the park passes and get the FPs while the others wait at Test Track.

we want to do mission space, soarin and test track. dou recommend getting a fastpass for soarin head over to mission space and then do test track. we dont mind if we have to stand in a queue as we have stood in a couple ofr over an hour at alton towers.

I've always found the queue for Mission: Space to be longer than Test Track, but that could be different at different times in the year. If you're planning on staying there for the whole day, maybe get another fastpass after you've used your other one. Or, if you really don't mind standing in queues, just try and get them all done early morning.

NO NO NO! Don't queue if you don't have to! Grap those FP's!
For your rides I would make Soarin' a FP priority then ride MS or TT, Whichever has the least wait showing then the other. Before riding Soarin' I would get another FP for whichever ride is your favourite.

We usually send one member of our party (DH ;) ) over to TT to grab fastpasses and the rest of us head over to Soarin. Ride this standby by which time the TT fastpasses are active - grab more FPs for Soarin then use the FP for Test Track :) Means bit pf park crossing but as one of our DDs will only ride Soarin & the other's fave ride is TT - they can both get two goes before lunch.
Not found the queues for Mission Space to be that long managed to ride the 'chicken version' in between fastpasses :)

We managed to do Soarin', Test Track and Mission Space before noon in July last year and then get a walk up table in Le Cellier for lunch! The longest queue was for Test Track, which was about 40mins.

How much of a time window do you have on a fastpass?

How much of a time window do you have on a fastpass?
The window to use a FP is 1 hour (although many guests do say they don't actually expire andhave reported using them any time after the window opens) but when that window opens depends on how busy they are.
You may pick up a FP on a quiet day at 11.00 and it may be valid from 12.10 until 13.10 but on a busier day it may be valid from 14.25 until 15.25. You can get another FP either when your window of use opens OR when stated on your actual FP, IE - If your FP time is 4 hours away it may be you can get another one in 2.5 hours but when your FP time is only 40 mins away you can get another when the window opens.

I would ride at 10.05 & get another FP BEFORE going on!
If you get it before you ride the first time then you could save around 20mins IE - If you get another FP at 10.05 say your window is 12.20-13.20 but if you waited until after you ride then the window will always be later, say, 12.50-13.50.

On your FP it will tell you when your window opens to ride and when you can obtain another FP. This information is on the same ticket
The norm is that your can get another FP once your window is open but on a busy (think Xmas/Easter) day when your FP time may be hours away then you can get another FP proir to your window opening.

Nope. You get a FP ticket.
Re-read my answer above as I mis-read your question and mumbled about something then I realised my error and amended!

Yeap. You don't get to keep the ticket though. You need to show it in order to gain access to the FP then hand it in when you get to the front of the FP queue.
