hi, hope some of you can answer my questions.

we are ging to disney oct/nov 08 and i think i am right in saying that the epcot food and wine festival is on at this time???

my questions are;

is it on every day?
what exactly is involved? i am thinking drinking wine in every country? am i right, i hope i am???
do you pay extra for this event?

where can i find out more about it, prices and description of the event, i thought it would be a good educational day for kids visiting all the countries and at kidcot station and adults at wine stations!!!!!

hope you guys can help!!!

We love the Food and Wine Festival.:thumbs-up

There is no extra charge unless you choose to do one of the special events that they have. It begins at the end of Sept and runs right through to sometime in Nov. It will be on everyday during that time.:)

You are able to sample food and drink from various countries around the world. You purchase samples of different food and drink for usually around $3-$6.

Its a lovely way to do World Showcase and as you say the kids can do their masks and other tasks at the kidcot stops.:thumbs-up

You will find info from last year here,

Hi im so jealous your off to florida this year, i have to wait till september 2009 till my next trip. Is it your first time in florida?

Anyway a lil bit about the food and wine festival. I went in september 2007 and it was a nice addition to the showcase world in epcot.
Basically in each of the countries there are little stands selling samples of different foods and wines from countries around the world. We didnt manage to try all the samples, but i particularly enjoyed the food in mexico.

There is so much to do in the showcase world for both kids and adults and like you said whilst your sampling all the different wines from around the world the kids can be entertained at the kid stations.

As far as i remember its on everyday. There is a little charge for trying the food and wine but its reasonable and you do get quite a bit for your money.

hi, thanks for your advice.

we first went to florida in 2006 as a family of 5 and are returning this year with my sister and her partner and son, so the party has grown to 8. iam worried there expectations are quite high as i have raved about it so much, but hey it is walt disney world!!!

2009 will come around real quick! i was really keen to go back in 2007 but the finances said otherwise. but hey, 2008 is here and it didnt take to long,...... it is the planning. and i am loving the sound of the food and wine festival!!!!!
