I thought I would mention that the Florida Strawberry Festival (http://www.flstrawberryfestival.com/default.htm) will be taking place 28th February until 9th March in Plant City which is between Orlando and Tampa.
They have loads of fair rides, games, livestock, entertainment (mainly famous country artists) and every strawberry combination you could imagine. This is something I've gone to for years and although it might not be for everyone I would say it is similar to Old Town with its rides and exhibits.

My DH is a strawberry junkie and after we moved to Orlando he mentioned how he missed English strawberries. We went with my Mom to pick some last year and although they weren't exactly like home he did enjoy them. Give 'em a try!
