Weekend at the Beach

Is the weekend Sat or Sun a bad day to visit Clearwater
This would be the first 2 weeks in May
Just as the parks are busier so is everywhere incl beach or is it not 'summer/beach time' for the locals

I don't think any day would be a bad day for the beach. We were in Clearwater last August on a Sunday, beautiful warm day, lovely sea and loads of room on the beach. Certainly no where near as crowded as pictures I've seen of med beaches!

The weekends tend to be very full and the no vacancy signs are out in force. If you pre-book this is not the case, but empty parking spaces can be rare. For Americans the weekends tend to be Fri and Sat night with checkout Sun morning, so its less busy Sun night.
So if you like the crowds Sat, if not Sunday.
Have generally found walkins ok Sun-Thur, not so easy Fri/Sat
