I'm sure I read about this a while back ... does anyone know if you can still do this? I think it was in the World of Disney store at DTD, but not sure .... My DS would love to do this

You could definitely still do this last month as we noticed it whilst shopping for other things!

Flippin heck I have a son too but I worry it is more his dad who will be dragging us Downtown!
He calls it being a fan I would call it being in need of therapy.

Don't make the mistake that we did and wait until the last day to go round the shops at DTD !!!! By the time we had made a light sabre, filled two Mr Potato Head boxes (full to bursting point) and a my little pony box we were starting to think we needed another suitcase!

our two sons built these light sabers in jan and think they are fantastic. They are quite complicated to do(well for me!!), but there was someone on hand to offer help.Unfortunately my son wanted to take his to the star wars jedi training but we had to say no as it was far too big to carry all day and wouldn't fit under the pram.Definately do the jedi training in mgm outside the star tours ride and get there at least half hour before show begins. You are more likely to be picked if you are wearing some sort of star wars clothing and do as my kids did....jump up and down and say "pick me!!"...sorry to go on but im just so excited and cant wait to go back!!!!
was there last week and the display was empty. just a couple of ordinary light sabres in boxes. dont no wether it was just out of stock or what?

Nikki I think I read $19.99. With that you are meant to get a pin I think which is specific to the BYOLS experience.
someone else will confirm this perhaps who has been and has one.

MY adult son did this in November and had really enjoyed it! He carried it back to the hotel on the Disney bus totaly oblivious to the fact he is 25 and 6ft 3" as while it was in his hands - he was Luke Skywalker! He even got a CM roped in to build the "bestest" one! Boys will be boys as they say!
i wanted one but dw said that i wasnt doing it . oh well this 40 yr old will get one.
