April Shuttle Launch - - KSC

I have just looked on KSC site and it looks as if the Shuttle scheduled for April 24 has been put back to May 25!!

I was hoping for a 3 or 4 days delay so that we could see it - but if I have read it correctly - one month delay means we haven't got a hope. :cry:

I am hoping someone will come along and say I have got it wrong - please!!!

Just looked at NASA site myself - absolutely GUTTED!! :cry:

Were really looking forward to it, kids have been doing space at school as well!....

Cant believe their programme of (quite regular) rocket/shuttle launches miss our 3week trip completely!.

Really suprised by such a long postponement so far in advance, we too expected the odd day or two delay, but not a month!

Oh well, lets hope Endeavours trip on March 11th gets delayed by 5-6 weeks huh?! :d:

I'm gutted that we will now miss the August launch, however there is a Delta IV scheduled to be launched on the 8th August from Cape Canaveral.

Has anyone seen a launch from the cape and if so would you recommend going to see it or is it not worth it as you can't get that close ?
