Do you have to get one set of fastpasses at a time for your family and then when you use them get another set or can you get your fastpasses for the rides you want at one go? We are going end of June / July so crowds will be mad, we intend to try to get there by 9.00am, leave lunch time and come back for the evenings.Do you go the each ride to obtain the fast pass for it? There are 5 of us we would like to do the thrill rides but my daughter is 6 and approx 46 inches. Here are the rides the boys want to do.
MK - Space Mountain Epcot - Test Track
Splash Mountain Soarin
Big Thunder Mountain Mission Space
AK - Everest
Kilimanjaro Safari
We are wanting to do DS first as we arrive end of June and are Star Wars fans so
Sat 28th June DS - RocknRoller Coaster
Tower of Terror
Are plan is to try to do these rides first and then take our time round the parks as the older boys will be happy with the thrill rides over and take time for Shannon and the shows and rides. Does any of this make sense, any suggestions and advice welcome, Thanks Debbie

Hi,
You can only have one fast pass at a time - when your fast pass time starts you can then get another pass for another ride. You get the fastpasses from machines at the rides themselves. It makes sense to get your fastpass as soon as you get in the park for the ride you want to do the most - on busy days they do run out of fastpasses sometimes.

Fastpasses are available from a machine at each ride. When you get a Fastpass it will have 2 times printed on it, one is the time after which you can ride, the other is the time after which you can get another Fastpass. It is possible to hold Fastpasses for more than one ride at a time and you could get Fastpasses in the morning and use them when you return in the evening.
At the Studios it is possible, because they are so close, to ride both ToT and R'n'R at park opening and get a Fastpass for one to ride again later.
At Epcot I'd go for Soarin' first as Fastpasses go quickly there.
At MK we usually get Fastpasses for Space Mountain and ride the others.
At AK we ride Everest, get Fastpasses for later, then ride Kali River and head to the Safari, if it's a long wait then get fastpasses for the Safari when you can and come back to it.
All these have worked for us even in June/July/August.

It really helped us knowing that you can use your fastpass at any time after the time on it ie if it is for 11.10 am you can use it anytime after that, it doesn't have to be at that exact time.
When we first went, we'd rush back to the ride to use the fastpass at the time stated on the pass!

Deb, i'm not sure if that's the case anymore!
I read on another site that since the new fastpass machines were installed they changed this! You'll get in if the time has only recently elapsed, but they won't allow you to use passes that are way past the use by time!
do the fastpasses cost anything?

free at wdw, not at universal, charge per person.just a tip re fastpasses at disney, if u get there early, sometimes it gives u a time very shortly when there are hardly any queues, so could in theory ,,,go straight on without using it,,,,the danger is that u get a time say,,,,2pm to 3pm for lets say test track at epcot,,,,then after you have used it you go to get a fastpass time for,,,,soarin, it may then say,,,,rides full for rest of day, which means if you are only there for that day you either,,,miss it,,,or get in a massive queue,,,,hence, get there early,,, to avoid anything like this happening,,,,hope ive made some sense here?????? bondy
thanks for the advise - will be waiting for it opening!

In order to obtain fastpasses I think you need everyones park tickey to put into the machine, which then prints our tickets with the time on and returns your park ticket.
Well I think this is still how it does it, sure someone will come along and correct me.

That's right, you need all the tickets but you can send one person off with the tickets to collect the fastpasses, while the others do something else (like character greet or loo break)
We have found you can usually get another fastpass 2 hours after you get the 1st one (the time will be printed on the fastpass), and we have been a little late before and been able to use the fastpass, it has an hour slot written on it, so if you have a fastpass from 11-12, if you turn up at 12:30 they will still let you in, I don't know if I would try turning up at 5pm though

,the danger is that u get a time say,,,,2pm to 3pm for lets say test track at epcot,,,,then after you have used it you go to get a fastpass time for,,,,soarin, it may then say,,,,rides full for rest of day,
If you go to test track at 9am and get a fast pass for 3pm, then you would be able to go to Soarin at 11am and get one for soarin.
However, I would get the soarin' one first as I think it's more likely to sell out.
