Beaches?

Hi all,

There MAY be a chance that we'll want to drive to a beach whilst in Florida - can anyone suggest they're best hotspots - ideally don't want to drive tooo far - about 90mins or so??

We've done Cocoa (east) and Clearwater (gulf) and prefer the latter as it was warmer and, in my opinion, nicer!

I think from reading other threads that the Gulf coast is better. I have only been on the Atlantic coast and that was great, so if the Gulf is better you will have a great time.

I asked this question a few weeks ago and Clearwater & St Pete's were recommended by nearly everyone. :wavey:

90 mins will get you to Clearwater, that would be my choice.

St. Pete`s is one of our favourites. It is on the Gulf Coast and a bit further down than Clearwater. Have a look at these web sites www.floridasbeach.com www.stpetebeach.com www.stpete-pier.com Another nice place is John`s Pass and Madeira Beach. www.johnspass.com :-)
